Well done Porky for looking after everything so well whilst your Mummy and Daddy are looking after baby Cash.  It is good news his little heart is doing well and those clever doctors are doing so much to help him. It's normal your Mummy has to sleep there too but we bet she is looking forward to snuggling with you at home as soon as you can all be together again.  We have been thinking of you all and know you and Bandit will have fun together so it isn't really being bandoned.

Those ducks are funny looking but geese and swans are worse, they really hurt of they peck at you!  We know because they chased us out of our swimming lake once when we were visiting Nana.

Be patient and keep us up to date.  Your are such a good boy Porky Pie, perhaps your illnesses in the last have made you understand how poorly little Cash is, you're doing a great job!

My mother and father have sent me away. I am staying with my auntie at her house for weeks now! I really like it when auntie is home from the work thing, but all day I think about missing home and I cuddle my gramps. I heard them say my baby brudder hooman is here. He is pretty sick so he and mommy live in the hospital till he gets better enough to come home. He is in a place called nicu. Mama even gets a bed in his room! Auntie says he is little and getting stronger everyday. He is her tough fighter she says. He had surgery at 3 days old to fix his tracheal/esophageal fistula, to get his eating tube in his tummy, and to see if they could fix his esophagus. They got all it done except the esophagus. The gap is too big so they have to wait 6-8 weeks to let it grow more.  Guess I won't see my mommy or daddy for awhile. Baby Cashs heart is doing good and he takes no medicine now! When he was firsts born, he was intubated and had at least 9 machines all full of medicine and tubes everywhere. But now he only has a few tubes and is on wall oxygen in his little bed. Auntie says he is cute and mama will share pictures when she's home. Auntie and gramps and grandma took off to see the baby brudder and my mommy and leaved me at a friend's house. I had so much fun last time. I got to see these weird things called goats there. Miss Melissa says she loves me soon much and is mommy's best friend. She lets me Huddleston her couch. Bandit and I have to be careful though, there's these really scary things that live there called ducks! We saw those things and screamed and ran back in the house as fast as we could. I guess being bandoned isn't too bad.   💜 Porky Pie

The Zs got their opportunity to meet Pancho.   The three of them hit it off right off the bat.   It looked like Pancho was thrilled to be around two dachshunds.   That helped bring him out his shell.  Not only did Pancho now let me pet him, but he also let me pick him up.    Pancho became jealous when Zeke would start interacting with Pancho's hooman family and he would try to push Zeke out of the way.   You forget just how energetic young dachshunds are!

Hooray for Pancho.  He might have thought you smelled good with the scent of the Z's on your clothes.

The family did adopt a dark red smoothie from DRNA name Pancho.   Pancho was found as a stray in South Carolina and was in a kill shelter where only 3% of the dogs get adopted.   He appears to be between 1 and 2 years old, although I think he is closer to the 1 than the 2.   Whoever his previous owner was, they were probably not very nice to him.   Pancho is extremely fearful of new people, particularly males, although over time he will warm up to them.  He has made good progress since first coming to his forever home.

When I went to meet him, he seemed genuinely curious about me, but couldn't seem to overcome his fear.  I think both time and love will heal his psychological wounds.   We're going to bring the Zs over to help "model" for him and show him that it's okay to be social with people.
