Porky Pie here:
We had quite the week at our house!   First, our water quit working Saturday night.   :doah: It took till Tuesday night for them to fix!!!  So, I missed my Saturday bath :apls: :headbang: and our house got HOT since we had no water for our swamp cooler.   We had lots of fix-it guys knocking on the door to have mama show them where the well was and explain a billion times what was wrong.   Come to find out, our well pump literally exploded sometime Saturday night!!  Good thing its underground!!   Also, we were thankful our landlord got the bill, it was pricey!!

Then yesterday, the power went out for 5 hours!.  I tried to help mama get all our meat and frozen stuff into coolers.  For some reason, she didn't want my help.    It was a scheduled outage, so we had time to prepare for it before.   We still think it would have been smarter to do it in the nighttime instead of when it was the hottest part of the day.  After the power finally came back on, my mama had her cousin run over and turn on the cooler for me.

Then, to  top things off...  I was walking along minding my own business, when all of a sudden my back got sore.  I stopped and tried to stretch it out, and there was a terrible "crack-crack-POP" noise.   I screamed and my mama ran over cause she heard it from the other room!!!!!    :ambulance:  She quickly put me in my crate and gave me my back medicine.  Then an hour later, I felt great.   We went to the vet to have it checked out this morning, and he said everything felt okay and I seemed fine, so not to worry about it.  He also said he thinks my disc popped back into place when I stretched so that's why it hurt so much.  We don't really know.    :dontknow: Mama didn't want to do the x-rays or CT scans since I'm not in pain right now, but she is watching me VERY closely and making me rest a lot.   She can still see some arching in my spine, but it does seem a little less so after the popping incident.

We are hoping for a calm weekend and a calmer next week.   :xfinger:

We took Parker to the vet after his tumble and she prescribed rest, and keep him quiet with some pain meds. A week later we went to Wienerfest, and since Parker was still arching, we put him in a wagon. There was a massage therapist there and for $10.00 I thought, nothing ventured, nothing gained.  She massaged him, and used this lazer light therapy on his spine. She showed me where he was sore - his spine, and she said his neck was a little sore as well. She advised me to let him walk for a bit after the treatment, and said he would sleep well, and I should notice a difference in the morning. I personally was thinking, Thank goodness I only paid $10.00 for this hocus pocus treatment. Well the next morning Parker immediately flips to his back for his morning belly rubbin (has not done this in a week), races to the door, barrels out to the back yard and chased 3 squirrels off the property. My husband and I stood there with our mouths hanging open. We haven't seen this since the injury. Nothing even close. From now on if I don't think the injury is too serious, he is going for massage and lazer light treatment.
I'm not sure if you have tried this with Porky, but it may be something to look into.

Roberta

Glad to hear all is back on track with you pair.
Peter what you ahd is similar to Bowen.......................which I swear by for dogs and humans. We take Amy every other month to straighten her out. Amy has had surgery and we find it  helps.
But porky and peter go low key for a while and don't give mums heartfailure.
