Hi everyone!  I'm one of the "old" Prodigy Dacsund Circus members from long ago!!!  At that time, I had Skyler - a soft coated wirehairs doxie. Then we adopted Dexter. Dexter's mother, Lady, was adopted by Janice after a mean old man brought Lady to the vet to "be put down" because he was tired of fooling with her. She was healthy and pregnant. The vet kept her, whelped her pups and found homes for all of them.  Soon after, we also rescued Rusty - a senior citizen whose human mom died.  We attended the St. Louis Rally at Denise's house, and the next year, we went to Dallas for the rally.  This was all about the time that the DC made the transition from Prodigy to AOL, I went back to school, and life got in the way of fun. I lost track of the old DC gang.

Since that time, Skyler, Dexter, and Rusty have all gone to the Rainbow Bridge. Phoebe moved into our lives about 11 years ago when a friend called to tell me of a precious wirehair doxie needing a home. We still had Skyler and Dexter at that time and Skyler thought that this 7 month old little girl was the best thing that he had ever seen. He was head over paws in love with her.  We ultimately found out that she had championship breeding on both mother and father's side, so we decided to show her. With the help of newly made friends, we entered the world of dog shows. Phoebe became a champion. After Dexter died, we so wanted a new puppy in our life, so after we retired Phoebe from the show ring, she had a litter of puppies - - - enter Tia (Tia for Two) and Tango (Two to Tango) since she only had 2 babies.  We laugh at that now because thankfully she didn't have more since we kept them both!!!  Phoebe and Tia were both spayed and Tango was neutered. We then ended up adopting another rescue - Pete. So now we are blessed to have 4 doxies in our life - - Phoebe - age 11, Tia & Tango - age 8, and Pete - age 12.  Additionally, we also have 2 Goldendoodle boys - Casey & Cody.

We are happy to say that our life is blessed with a houseful of WONDERFUL dogs.  I really cannot believe that I've found this board after all these years. Are any of the "old" gang still around??   Bill, Kathy, Jean, Denise, Janice, Wendy, Karen????????

Mike

Hello and welcome back.  I joined the Board in Nov 2000 after my Clifford blew a lumbar disk in the spring.  I think that was after you had left.  He recovered well but I was looking for information on "good" dog food.  Boy did I get a wealth of info and made lots of internet friends here.
There's nothing like having a dachshund tongue up your nose at 3 a.m.

Hi and Welcome Back.    I joined in the fall of '98.   I attended the Frederick Bow Wow in '99 with Rudy & Max and our honorary weiner, Rusty.    All have long since gone to the Bridge.  We have Zeke and Zora these days

Most of the folks you mentioned have not posted in quite some time.   I don't think I've heard from Wendy, (who had PG, Cappi and the Demon Dolly) since right around the time Rudy or Max went to the Bridge, which was in '05 of '06.   Janice seemed to have dropped off the board in the early 00s, even her Geocities site hadn't seen an update in years before Geocities finally went dark.

I do wonder what has happened to a lot of the folks that have passed through the WW Board during the intervening years.   Maybe a full-blown reunion is in the offing?

I "happened on" the Pow Wow in Frederick in 99.  My son got married that weekend in Frederick and I ran into Jean at the hotel. She told me about the group meeting at another hotel, so John and I stopped by to say hi to old friends.  It was great to see so many there.

Tonight I met a new neighbor that lives down the street from us. They have a 7-month old male dachshund. When she heard that we have 4 - her BIG question was - how do you housebreak them!!! She raved on and on about how sweet he is - but that he is so stubborn. I just told her - yep - sounds like a dachshund!!!  Sweetest things in the world loaded with that good old german spunk!

We joined about 1989 or 1990.....not sure which.  I remember you and your old dogs.  We had Zeke and Zelda at the time.  Zelda had a litter and we kept Zack.  We lost him 2 years ago in Oct at 17 1/2.  Now we have Zena.
At one point I did meet Cujo and Renee and I think Jean in MN.  At the national specialty I met  Jere, Cathy Radke and Karen in Oskosh in 2002.  My sister Nancy was around then too she goes by Aunty Doxzz.
