Most of us have migrated over to Facebook and found each other there. That seems to be the dominant means of communications between each other these days.   DD posts quite often with pics of Hallie there.

I do miss this board being as active as it used to be.

Porky and his mama and dad are doing great! I have taken a new job that will allow me more time on this board. Porkys allerhies and teeth are still a constant problem but I seem to have found some houseplants that aid his breathing a bit.   :apls:  We missed all of you as well!!

Very interested in the house plants that help breathing  ? Papbouv

We have several houseplants and the biggest difference I noticed with Porkys allergies happened when I brought in a peace lily. We got flit from our local greenhouse. It clears out mold and mold spores from the air and bathroom. I keep ours in our bedroom and we all seem to have less stuffy noses.  :apls:  I have several green, leafy plants all help purify the air in some way. However if you have pets that mess with plants or chew them,  I would avoid some of those. I am planning on bringing in a spider plant,  snake plant (a.k.a mother in laws tongue),  bamboo palm,  and some ferns to further help with clean air. Hopefully by having really clean air inside, we wont need meds for Porky anymore. He is already down to three doses a week!  :apls: Before my experimenting,  it was 3 doses a day just to keep him from wheezing and keep the violent sneezes at bay. If we have to have a jungle in here,  I will. I'm sick of seeing my little guy whack his head on the floor or outside when he sneezes like that.  Plus I have noticed a huge difference in my own sinus infections/ allergies as well.

That is great news thank you very much for letting me know the names. There is one plant I know that is not good to have  dogs around
it is called a  Sago palm plant 2 Doberman pups ate one both died of course if you are not sure I would google  the plants name with the word dog see what you come up with. Thanks again for the names of the plants.

Does the Peace Lily have a strong smell?  I can't be around "Easter" lilies or I start sneezing my head off.
There's nothing like having a dachshund tongue up your nose at 3 a.m.

The peace lilt doesn't smell at all. If you were near me, I would have two of them for you. We are getting things out of my father-in-laws house and he has several of them. I have very little extra room for plants!

I got a Peace Lily over the weekend and put it in the bedroom on top of the dresser so the little salad maker won't nibble on it.

I keep our peace Lily on a dresser too!  We have all seemed to breathe a lot better since we got it and put it in our bedroom.  I usually have sinus infections constantly, and haven't had a single one since May!  Could be random coincidence, but I am definitely enjoying it.
