Sharing a part of myself and my Simon

I'm still a bit new to this site, but I'm feeling welcome enough to share. Btw, I hope you got my x-mas cards.

I'm a writer, in the process of writing my first book. My little 14 year old Dachshund, Simon sometimes helps me write. Mostly that's done by laying in my lap, blocking my hands to the keyboard. But he try's.

Anyway, I have a blog about my random adventures that happen in my life, as well as one for my writing. I thought that with Simon aging, I would like to have a place to write down my memories and pictures or time and life with this wonderful dog who rescued me.

And I'm sharing it with you.

Welcome Emily and Simon.  I will definitely check out your blog soon.  This forum has been here for many many years in different incarnations.  Presently, due to the popularity of Facebook and just leading busy lives, it seems to not be the chatty place it used to be but there still are some old soldiers who still pop in with updates on their furkids.

This place has been kind of "family" for me for a long time.  In fact, I have met quite a few of our contributors and we have gotten together in the past at events called "Bow Wows".  Kind of a "Meetup" type thing only we come from all around.  I've traveled as far as Texas and Washington state for Bow Wows and even had a mini Bow Wow in Bakersfield, CA.....just over the mountain from me here in San Luis Obispo. 

I look forward to hearing about Simon and his adventures.

Hi Emily !  And Welcome to you and Simon......   Ahhhhh, just read your blog and your story is so much like many...... Those babies just jump into our hearts without a moments notice !!!  So glad you found each other !!!

I was going to comment on your first post..... but couldn't figure out how.  I clicked Post comment, and no curser.  Subscribed to the Post Comments...but still can't.  Do you have to log in somewhere?  Anyhoo..... look forward to hearing about your adventures !

Hello again, Emily & Simon!
Yes, we got your Christmas card, and it was thoroughly sniffed by all four noses - I am very careful when opening things with any potential dog or cat smells for the quartet.
We will have to check out your blog.  I am hoping to see piccies of Simon so I can hold them up to the monitor.
