My Family and I Got To Meet Duncan This Week-End!

When we were at the Midwest Dachshie Fest over the week-end we got to see  Mike from Oswego and meet Duncan! Duncan is a handsome boy! :thumb:

It was nice to meet Kelly and her family again.  We met at the Picnic a few years back the year she adopted Manny ( I thnk it was).  Sadly, Manny is gone but Blusky was at the picnic away from the main action.

Duncan is getting very aggressive of late when meeting other dogs.  It took us over 30 minutes to get through the doorway into the tractor barn where the festivities were.  Everytime we would get close to another dog the whites of his teeth appeared.  So off to the pasture area we would go.  Finally I picked him up and put him on his back in my arms to calm him.  That's the position he was in when we stopped by Kelly's booth.  He relaxed enough during our chat that I could turn him over.  After wandering in and out of the barn for over an hour he was getting used to the other dogs (whew they can raise a ruckus!!!).  I still didn't trust him to sniff noses, but it was a step forward.
