UPDATE - Baby Granddaughter is Arriving EARLY!

Just a quick note......Reagan is arriving early......tonight! An emergency C-Section is taking place at 7:30 pm, PST. Her due date was August 19. Will post more later.....we're off to the hospital! Dee & Dave

Cassie had a dr appt on Monday...during that appointment, her blood pressure was extremely high. She was admitted to the hospital and many tests were run. The doctor decided that a C-Section would need to be done for the health of Cassie and Reagan. Since she had eaten breakfast, they wanted to wait 8 hours unless medically they needed to do it sooner. Cassie was on bed rest at the hospital and they were monitoring her closely. At 7:30 she was taken in for the C-Section.

Reagan Arlene arrived in this world at 8:03 p.m. The bells chimed in the hospital and we commented about the arrival of a baby and it was our Reagan. She weighed in at 5 pounds, 5 ounces and is 18 inches long....brown hair...a beautiful baby girl. Reagan is in the Neo-natal ICU since she arrived early and was being watched over. She arrived at Week 36 so they are considering her as a pre-mature baby. We admired her through the viewing window. Cassie's blood pressure was still up and they were monitoring her closely when we left. We left the hospital close to 11 pm and Cassie was still in the recovery room. We did get to see her and visit with her briefly. Sean was staying the night with them.

We will go back this morning and I'll give an update when we get home. Hope that we can get pictures of us holding our sweet little granddaughter today.

This is so exciting. I've been thinking about you a lot and knowing that you were probably wanting time to fly right now. I'm say some prayers that everyone is fine (since she should be here right about now!). Can't wait to see those first pictures.
