Yard Lounging

Enjoying the nice cool spring we're having just right for lounging on her favorite dirt pile (she likes to wear it in her hair)  :thumb: She will run to me in the back yard when I call and clap my hands maybe not a straight line to me anymore but it's great she trusts me enough to run on her own when I say it's OK.

Her hairy alter ego loves lying on gravel and sleeping!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!but she hates walking on it. Good to hear she is coming out of her shell. Love the last one, I love bits as  photo's.

Awww she's so sweet they sure do look alike!  Give her and her brudder a hug from us "up over". I still am not used to Hallie holding her eyes open so wide, first time I've seen that in a pic where she is running.

Those little feeties don't look like that now, right after I took the picture, she got a full mani-pedi including bottom of feetsies hair trim and toe chops. She lays on her back and sleeps through it she enjoys her spa days.

Question if you leave the (house shoes) long hair  around the toes long how do you get the toe nails short with out pulling the hair ?

I have always trimmed Hallie's feetie hair too, she was always so active, loved to run into the house etc, like you I didn't want her slipping on her feet hair on the kitchen floor.But now she goes so slow most everywhere  it's not as big of an issue, but I figure it might be better to keep her feet trimmed so it doesn't hold the pollen next to her feet? I don't know if that is sound logic or not but I will keep trimming her hair, she loves having her feet done.

Papbouv do you use a dremmel? I use regular guillatine (sp??) clippers, the dremmel would catch in the hair. I don't have any problem pulling her hair with the regular clippers, she just lays on her back with her eyes shut and will stretch out her little toesies while I'm clipping. I love her long toe hair on the top, I just pull that back and press it down with my fingers on top of her paw as I'm clipping to keep it out of the way. I also trim the hair on the bottom of her feet before I trim her toenails.

Our pair don't have to much trouble with tootsie nails growing long I think they are on concrete just enough, but as Dee Dee says you just gently pull it out of the way, we have grass seed hunts daily with Oliver.
It is amazing the difference in feet Oliver has big solid feet the size of the palm of my hand and Amy has dainty fine small footies by the looks of it like Ms H's wonder if its a "boy" thing.

DeeDee, Hallie is beautiful as ever!  I love all the pics!  You two have been in my thoughts a lot lately.  I've been telling myself that I need to get an email off to you and fill you all in on the latest here.  We've been keeping busy...the kids are settled in their new place with the exception of the baby's room which we are going to help them with (putting the crib together, etc) after school is out this week; we've had many graduations...three involving college an four involving high school; and I've been busy with all the other household chores along with sewing.  I've put the baby stuff aside right now and am working on a quilt for Dave's mom, using embroidered squares that her Mother made; and Dave is busy with fishing on the weekends with his best friend.  I am also working on the Baby's room that she will have available to her at Grammy and Grandpa's house.  My brother and sister in law were also here the end of May.  This Saturday, is the baby shower for Cassie and Baby Girl.  Cassie and Sean have chosen a name but I've been sworn to secrecy until the baby shower when they will announce it!  I love the name that they have chosen.  Will share after Saturday!

Deb I tell her every morning she is more perfect than the day before. Just like another little red girl we know...

I love the running pics too pretty Amy's eyes look like Hallie's used to, I guess she opens them wide trying to see...?

Hallie sez she'd prefer dead worms to dirt and twigs in her hair but she'll take what she can get!

Roberta that is great the kids can file their own nails down on the concrete. Hallie has super long nails (which is why in the beginning I let her toe hair grow over them to hide them, now I think it's just cute!) when I got her from the shelter her nails were way too long, I've only been able to get the quick back a little and I keep them as close as I can but they will always be long which drives me nuts. The only way to get them where they should be would be to put her under and cut them but I'd never do that, they aren't so long they do any harm. Hallie does have the dainty feet like Ms A but my Jessie who was a standard had the great big front feeties, Jessie was 24 lbs (and trim!) Hallie is 11.4.

Miss Hilde is giving extra kisses and cuddle time with her mama.  Just won't come too close when I'm using the crutches.  She not overly fond of the boot, but she's not as afraid of it.  Thanks to all for the rays.  They are greatly appreciated.
