Hey Eileen, I have been wondering about Hallie, too.

Dee Dee and Hallie

We're doing OK thanks, I've been busy padding the entire house and yard and following her around I figure the padded walls in here will come handy for me too one day if something happens to her!  She's been amazing she has such a wonderful spirit keeps me humble. I'm trying to keep her life as full and happy as it's always been it's hard to see her struggle at times and I just hate it that I wasn't able to protect her from this stupid evil thing. But I am glad it's at a time of year when the weather is getting better so we can be outside a lot, my yard is fairly big and flat so I can go across the yard and clap my hands and she will run to me.  Or at least in my general direction. Still hard to believe my little girl has lost her sight!  :cussing: I love her more than ever though. Thank goodness she is so good, I call her my little fawn I can put her down somewhere and tell her to stay and she will just stay there like a fawn in the grass until I get back for her. Today was the first day I had to leave her alone (Dr's app't) so my friends came over to sit with her and they said she did really good she did go out the doggie door a few times which normally she doesn't on her own she usually will sit by the door and bark for the "doorman" to come open it for her. The doggie door goes into the utility room which goes into the back yard so the door to the yard was closed and she wasn't able to go out there but I'm sure she was looking for me although Sandy said she was not acting stressed or whining or anything.

Speaking of stress I just take my Ativan and I be fine and mellow seeee........

Glad to hear from you guys know Miss Hallie would take it in stride dogs just do not let things bother them like people do.Rays & Hugs to you both can't hurt to send more your way.

Dee Dee and Hallie

Thanks, we'll take all the extra rays you have still, I hope she will adjust more and more. It is so strange to see photos of her like this with her eyes wide open, with her iris atrophy she would always squint her eyes outdoors now she holds them so wide open even in full sun...

We are glad to hear you are doing well, must be quite a job padding all the house though, sounds like you have fun playing in the garden together and it must be a great release of tension for you both.  That´s some photo!

Handle every "Situation" like a dog.
If you can't eat it or play with it,
tinkle on it and walk away.

Rich

Been wondering about you two. Glad to hear that both of you are adjusting. Hallie's a little trooper - they all are tougher than we think. LOL at what you did to that picture.
