Happy Retirement.  May you be able to do or not do the things you want.  Hope you enjoy it.  :apls:
Handle every "Situation" like a dog.
If you can't eat it or play with it,
tinkle on it and walk away.

I am very sad about  the turmoil WI is going through and really feel for my coworkers who will have very hard times ahead of them!!  BUT I am very thankful I made it to retirement.  It will be wonderful to not get migraines weekly due to work related stress. I might have a very tight budget to work with but should also have the energy to not have to get my meals at the grocery store deli!!  I might even get into making homemade soup again!!  If I was smart since I currently am trying to fight a respiratory bug...I may go and get the fixings and make some chicken soup!!  WITH lots of garlic!!

Once I get my house puppycized(you know how some doxies really act like goats!!) then I am planning to find a senior doxzz who is also a granny dog!!  It will not be a mini in large part because I swear they fly!!  You would think the short legs would slow doxies down but that never happens!!

Thanks for all the good wishes.

Bye the way it only took me 31 YEARS at the job to get to retirement!!  There are times it seems like i just started working there, and other times due to cranky body it seems like I have been on the job for at least 50 years.  So far no migraines since I since I retired!!
:thumb:
I really love the fact that I will now be able to go to the Y during the day instead of rushing there after I leave work at 6pm. :apls:

Oooh, happy retirement, Nancy!  I am so looking forward to that day, myself!  I know you will find plenty to keep you occupied - lots of good animal mysteries out there - I have a stack of about 28 books in my "to read" pile!    Enjoy, and good luck with your senior granny dachshund search!

I learned that really fast after seeing Wacky Zack in action!!
He is fussy about what FOODS he eats.  But any none food items seemed to be at risk!!
Well will admit too, Zena apparently likes to at least sorta nibble on loose foam like might be part of bedding...if its in a nibbleable position so to speak!!

My Twinkie angel never actually ATE things, but if she was stuck in kennel and unhappy she was known to attempt to eat her way out, bend metal bars, spring open crate doors, and even shred wall molding around doors when trying to bust out of a bedroom!!  I was thankful she only destroyed things and did not usually end up with vet visits or vet bills!!
Twinkie was different from Zack in that with her the things most at risk WERE food!! Although she did get quite sick one time when sister forgot that if dog and food are in van, either the dog or the FOOD must be in the kennel.  2 big nut rolls were almost totally eaten when we caught her. and that sugar high had her sick for a long long nite.  The huge beefsteak tomato on the other hand( I swear it was at least a pound) only resulted in a few tomato seeds on floor of van and a huge belch when we got in the van and realized what happened.  Thankfully that time she did not get sick.  Sister sadly did not get her BLT sandwich she was so looking forward to.
