I'm not holding my breath, but the forecast is starting to call for as much as 6-10 inches of snow between Sunday night and Tuesday morning around here. That can cripple our area. Of course, the TV stations are hyping it up and usually when they do, we end up with three inches! However, some of the more trustworthy sites and the computer models are starting to say it might happen.
So, I'm debating on whether to pick up some puppy pads for Schatzi since it isn't going to warm up enough to melt the snow away for several days. It's either puppy pads or else we will clear her off an area outside and see if we can possibly convince her to go out there!
I would love to see us get a good snow, just to see some of the kids, like my nieces, build a snowman and it not be gone the next day. It will also be fun to get a picture of Schatzi in snow, at least for a minute or two that comes over her belly!
One thing I'm not looking forward to-using my precious vacation hours that I finally have again for snow days. This is the type of storm that can keep us closed for two days. Aaargh!

Since we truly have winter snow here and this year, it's been a lot, we have cleared an area for the two boys.  However, I also have PP pads for the two boys especially when we had the temps below 0 or the wind chill was way too cold for the boys to be out long.

Ugh. I hope you don't get slammed. Why is something so beautiful so miserable to get around in (and PP in!) They forecast some snow (not nearly as much as you) today, right now it's blue sky and sunny, hope your weather man is wrong too.

We will definitely have 4-7 inches, and when reading the weather forums, which are often most accurate, we could have up to 10. I don't worry about six or seven inches too much, but 10 really kills our power lines and trees around here. On the plus side, I've been reading some photography websites and finding out how to best take some pictures in the snow. Might as well take advantage of the opportunity while I'm at it. Would love to get some of my nieces sledding, but they have to find a sled somewhere. There truly is not one to be found in the whole upstate of SC now!

I hope you get enough for it to be pretty and long enough to take some good photos. Then it can go right? LOL. I will be anxious to see your photos. It isn't too hard if everything in your shot is gray to white, but when you try shooting something like...say...a black and tan longhaired child in it, the best you can do is expose for the snow since you can't recover blown highlights, and rely on photoshop to bring out the details in the darks. The nice thing about snow is it's so light it's easy to get the shutter speed up for action shots.

Hmmm sounds like your niece may need to get creative and raid the kitchen for supplies to make her own sled.

We have around 8 inches right now and snow is still lightly falling. Schatzi isn't sure what to do with it. She went out the front door, caught the scent of a cat and decided to track it. That was a funny sight! She then tried to get up the steps which was even funnier. She keeps wanting to go out, but then sees the snow, takes a few steps and changes her mind. I have some pics which I will upload later. Now, if only the layer of ice they are predicting will just stay away...

Can't wait to see your pics! It's supposed to snow here Wednesday but I'll believe it when I see it.
