Greetings to everyone at this very neat site!  My boyfriend found this site, and he may have already written.  I'm not sure, though, because he's found a bunch of different things & I'm having a hard time keeping track!!!!   :crazyeyes:  Anyway, my boyfriend and I live in Massachusetts & rescued a deaf double dapple just over a month ago.  We are already owned by this handsome little fella!     He was so skinny when we got him, but he has gained weight and muscle in the month since we've had him!  He really is doing very well!  We don't know what his home was like before we got him, but he is pretty afraid of men.  We find that with love, patience and time, he comes around very nicely.  He is, without a doubt, mama's boy & has me trained!  As a matter of fact, he's sleeping at my feet as I type.  Just this past week, I've gotten him to not run when I need to get something out of his mouth, like cat "cookies" or underwear, etc.  He now seems to know that mommy is not going to hurt him but rather just take something from him and replace it with his woolly lamb.  Did I mention that he is such a sweet boy!?     Yeah, he owns us!  We don't tell him that he can't hear & one of his favorite places to go is Petco!  He gets so much attention that it's tough to do any shopping!!!  Oh, and he loves visiting his auntie who has 2 labs.  Shooter doesn't care for him much, but Coal loves him!  We are so glad that he's been added to our family, and we look forward to getting him a brother or sister in the near future!  Is there anyone from the New England area?  We would love to find another double dapple, but we aren't sure where to look?  We are new parents, so we thought we'd check with experienced Doxie lovers!   I can't wait to keep exploring this site and learning more and more!  Thanks for everything so far & I look forward to chatting with y'all and learning more!  Have a great day!
