Hi all....it's been a bit since I've posted any piccies of the boys and the monster mower......so here are some taken from today.  Nick, the mower guy loves the dogs.  He left his email with us to email him pics so he can show his friends.  He always stops and chats for a few moments....Bruce, who retired in June, taught Nick well about the doxies who love to chase the mowers and the hoomans who live with the doxies.  Nick shared this morning, that he didn't do the mowing last week because his machine was down.  So, the other guy did the mowing and told Nick about this "lady" who was out taking pictures of him mowing the school yard and he didn't know why.  He saw the dogs.....can't miss them with all their barking and running......so Nick reminded him that we are the people with the doxies who love to chase the mower and their "mom" loves to take pictures of them doing so.  Needless to say, the other guy didn't stop to chat.......   Now, Duggie is really into chasing the mower....he is up on the sofa watching out the living room window by 7 am watching for the mower to come which is usually around 8 am.  The minute he sees it, clear on the other side of the school yard, where they mow first, he starts barking which gets Sarge up and then he starts barking.  We have about a 20 minute barkfest IN the house because we won't let them go out until they are on our side of the school yard and starting to come by our area of the yard.  Then, it's out they go...barking and running, running and barking.....Duggie constantly and Sarge shows interest for a while, then he will go lay down in the sun and when the mower is towards the end of mowing and before Nick stops at our place, then Sarge is back running and barking.  When Nick leaves, the mowers are up and the dogs run and bark the length of the yard as he drives away.  Once he is away from our yard, the stop barking and running and head into the house for their long morning nap.   All of our neighbors have been told about the monster mowers and the barking dogs chasing it......they are all fine with it and laugh at how Sarge and Duggie go after the mower.  In fact, they say they know its Wednesday for sure when the dogs are out doing their exercise routine.  So, here are some pictures from when the mower arrives to when it leaves......ENJOY!

Duggie is standing up on the fence by the flowers.

Put a cape on Duggie and he could be SuperDog!  Both were running...

I really LOVE that sidewalk you have along there.  Nice that it does double duty grinding their nails down a bit while they're chasing the mowers, right?  I love the one of Duggie flying in the air-that's a truly great shot!

We put the walk in specifically for the dogs!  Next spring we plan to extend it to the corner (where we once had a garden...but the garden is no more in the future) for them.  They're not spoiled......and yes, it does help with their nails.  This morning I programmed my camera to sports mode and followed the dogs and the mower as they went by...that's how I managed to get the pic of Duggie flying in the air.

I can never see a monster mower at work, especially at in a school yard, and not think of Sarge and Duggie. They are going to be sad when the mowing days are over, I'm sure. It's great you have developed such a wonderful relationship with the mower men!

Handle every "Situation" like a dog.
If you can't eat it or play with it,
tinkle on it and walk away.
