So Finnegan has gastroenteritis. He had a really bad tummy for about a week. But everything is on the mend now. He is on a low residue, easy digestion food at the moment. But the vet wants us to change his normal dry food. Our vet gave us a couple different brands, but i was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions, or any favorite brands they would reccomend?

Cost isnt really an issue. We really just want the best for Fin. I hate seeing him sick and i was actually thrilled to death when he started harassing me to play in the middle of the night on thursday because i knew he was feeling better.

Fin Says: I pooked and pooped ALL OVA DA PLACE! But my Mama didnt eben get mad. She jus pet me and made sure i want feelin as bestest as i could. Aldo... she DID take me to da stoopid vet who says i cant hab anymore snackies! Not eben my faborite ones!

Dee Dee and Hallie

Poor Fin, tummy problems suck. What are you feeding him now? Hallie was put on WD but I hope to find an alternative, I don't like the ingredients of Science Diet and this high fiber food is also for dogs needing to lose weight, which she doesn't, so we're struggling to keep weight on her, she is underweight right now. But it has helped her tummy issues a lot, and so has the pepcid AC I give her twice a day now. I was the same, Hallie wanted to play the other day and I was so happy, I hop to for anything she wants! She didn't have any vomiting or diarrhea but she was one sick miserable little girl for several days. I make her home made treats that the vet says is OK for her tummy, from chicken, rice and green beans. I'm also looking for an alternative food to replace the science diet but I'm afraid to make any changes since she's feeling good now.  Rays to Fin that he stays feeling better too give him a hug for us.
Hallie sez: Eat, drink and be hairy

We currently have him on  First Mate Fish and potato. Which is a pretty good food, but i guess because Fin shouldnt be eating wet food they want him on a higher meat content dry food.

The vet told us Medi-Cal is the best so thats the one im leaning towards...
