Hey everyone,

My boyfriend and I own 2 lil doxie cuties...Boogey & Fa Fa...Boogey (M) is 4 and Fa Fa (F) is 2.  My brother found this site and I'm glad he did.  There are so many things to these lil ones.  I just wanted to say hiiiii! to everyone and hope to get some more insight on these lil guys...Boogey actually had 2 major back surgeries,  6 months apart and is doing fine now, but that was a heartbreaking experience for us.  We just hope Fa Fa will not have to go through the same things.

    I'm pretty new too, welcome to the board!  Can't believe Boogey's already had two surgeries and he's only 4!  Just came back from the emergency vet, with my first round of back problems.... the disc isn't ruptured, but our oldest, Baxter (he's 5) has to stay in his crate for two weeks and he's on some meds.  Hopefully he's on his road to recovery and it won't come to surgery.

I hope Baxter gets well! Boogey's disk ruptured and paralyzed him from hip down both times.  We had the option of just giving him strictly just crate time, but we decided the best decision was to get surgery.  But the doc did say that a lot of the times, just letting your baby stay in the crate can solve the problem.  So hope to hear that in 2 weeks, Baxter is up and about!!!  GOOD LUCK!!!
