or should that be locked up.
Iz went to jump on da big bed last Sunday when mum was making it and it was higher due to her having da bedcloth all on one side, so I fell and squealled, so that got me medcalm and put in bed behind a fence. I did'nt WALKED on mon but on Tues I gave mum and Aunty Jane hell so they took me, but I sat down at the bottom of the hill and HER (mum) had to carry me up, so I was medicated and mum ph'd da vet.
I'll let mum tell da rest.

Well I thought it was his hips, but the vet thought it was his back. He has footie flipping but the vet thought it a bit slow, but stress head was up to high Doh and not really concentrating. The point wa mid point in his back, then that night it hit me, that was where he hit the bed in Feb doing zoomies and hit it trying to get under it.
That was Wed, I had taken him to a new vet, as last years episode when they thought he had done his cruciate still rings in my head. On Thur and Fri I walked him on flat for 3-4 mins and he was OK, but he was still on Medcalm, and the vet had said they have been having a few dogs getting side effects on it ie renal ............and as I had been up hourly the previous 2 nighs with him I stopped it yesterday. Decided that he is getting no walks, and if I'm not sitting he is in the pen, last night the medcalm must have been out of his system as e slept the whole night. I do tend to think its his hips as they have arthritis, I don't want to put him under to X-ray and I know that Charles Kruntz, vet who did AMy's surgery would not do anything except rest.

So last night I still did not sleep well, waiting for him to get up, but he got up once and I think it was because I had made him to warm under extra blankies. Then as 7 he and Bustle Butt wanted out, so I let them out and decided I was going back to bed, neither would get back in their bed...............reason Madam had chucked but in his side of the bed, so I decided just to stay up as by the time I cleaned it all up I was awake. She did good through to the foam, and it hopped in fast the minute it was changed.

So keep him in your thoughts

Handle every "Situation" like a dog.
If you can't eat it or play with it,
tinkle on it and walk away.

Auntie Dee, mum is CRUEL Iz can do eberyting but, Iz still under bed arrest for most of the day, and she is forever yelling at me "GO SLOW"  and all doors are closed to places I ususally jump up on humf

OLlie

He seems a lot better in the past few days but I'm not taking any chances he's grounded till next Sat at the earliest. He has to sit in one spot or he is in his bed with fence, so if he moves all I do is point to the bed and he comes back and sits. I decided against taking him back to our usual vet or the other as I figured by the time they manipulate him he would be put back a few days, plus all they will say is keep him quiet.
Isabel our Bowen lady is back from holiday in a week so I will take him, I am also wondering if he just pulled his back/intercostals muscles, as Isabel says that can make thema bit sore in the back. his gate stance sitting etc is all normal.

:thinik: You know, maybe once he is all better, he should work on building up his back muscles.  Maybe running on flat ground.

Meanwhile, feel better!  Even Lindsay Lohan is gonna get paroled!! :thumb:

karen he runs hills and flat ground for about an hour a day, I think maybe it was the way he fell off the bed.
I just came back from a sit and stitch, they get to lie in the front window and watch the view, well I opened the door and this red FLASH was out running loopies round the turn around, to mum telling him to SLOW DOWN, opened the door to go in when he zoomed back in, and proceeded to take all the blankies out of the bed at the window and run up the hall with them..........................
VALIUM me thinks
