But only while we were lining up, it stopped as soon as the parade started which we thought was pretty polite.

This was at the beach and we were in a group for Lighthouse Realty (relative of a relative owns) so it was a motorcycle, then two tall flags with me pushing Hallie in her stroller in between them, then an old car with a sound system in the back and then the drill team with umbrellas and signs. Hallie was not particularly impressed and practically slept through the whole thing.  But she kept her hat on and got a lot of applause during the route.

On the pics from the back of Hallie's stroller you can see her little hat sticking up...

Then we had the famiy quadathon relay race. There was walking, running, biking and boating. About 30 people were there from our group, we had special t shirts made. Hallie didn't actually participate (until the barbeque afterwards then she did her part!) but "Team Murry" came in 2nd overall woooo. (which means we got to eat second at the barbeque )

Someone drew her on the boat with the rest of us stick figgers!

The theme was crabs so Hallie got a crab collar.

At final count after the quadathon, we had 1 hip thrown out, a leg with a pulled muscle, and a broken foot not to mention lots and lots of sore muscles.

There were some big birds there so I kept Hallie close! Awesome though to see this pair flying along the beach.

My SIL lives on the water so Hallie and I got a nice room and slept with the sliding glass door partly open all night so we could listen to the ocean. Ahhhh.....

My cards are cleaned out now so we won't torture you with more pics (for a while!)

DeeDee I still have the pictures on the original memory stick from when I went to New Orleans in 2006.  I have the pictures downloaded to my laptop, backed up to an external HD and burned to a DVD, but I still can't get myself to clear the card - I'm afraid something is going to go wrong and I'll lose everything,   Am I paranoid or what?  LOL.

Marcia.............be brave we have them backed to 3 computers and  2 exteral hard drives, probably like Dee Dee's mine has capacity for about 1500 high pixel shots so if I left them on I'd be there till Christmas trying to find one. Still fiddling around with the low light manual settings at present

I'm with you there, Roberta. There is a great book, Understanding Exposure, by Bryan Peterson, that has been highly recommended to me. It's on my list to order in the next week or two. The best trick of all-tripod and remote shutter release. I've actually gotten some decent sunset shots and some cool fireworks shots this way. I'm thinking of trying some sunset shots again tonight if it doesn't decide to storm.

I love all the pics of Hallie.  A windy, cool, day on the beach (or just a windy, cool day) looks wondrous!
