In reading the paper this morning, we have a local columnist who generally asks a "Slice" question......his column is called The Slice.  I must have missed the day when he asked the question about what camp your dog should go to......here are three of the answers that readers provided:  (1) One woman said her dogs should go to music camp.  She said, "If her terriers are going to yap at everything, they might as well learn to do it in harmony." (2) A woman said that her dog might want to go to a camp where she could learn to climb trees and improve her squirrel chasing skills.  And, (3) A man said that his minature dachshund might want to sign up for "Camp Chewwittupp"!    I'm thinking that for Earl, Camp Chewwittupp would be right up his alley!!  I must say though that he hasn't chewed anything up since Saturday.  Although, yesterday he tipped their bowl of water over....and this time, instead of going the opposite direction of him, he dumped it all over himself!  He was one wet doggity as was the floor! :2funny: :2funny: :2funny: :2funny:

Personally, I'd send The Herd to Music Camp.  My voice mail greeting starts out with them baying, like miniature bloodhounds!

Oh, Dee, I just read about your chair. Earl, you are one VERY lucky dude! Someday it will be a funny story. Gretchen was our Master Destroyer. Her best was a LLadro figurine. In my book, LLadro's are very expensive - not the kid of money I would spend on figurines. It was a wedding gift, which made it even more valuable to us. Every time we moved, I would hand carry it. When we moved into this house, I put the figurine on top of the piano. Safe place, right? Ron and I were painting walls and had Gretchen and Ilsa baby gated in the living room (where the piano was) so they couldn't get into the paint. I heard what sounded like glass breaking and ran into the living room. The figurine was on the floor in pieces and Gretchen was sitting, proud as punch, on top of the piano where the LLadro had been. I had left the piano bench just far enough out for her to jump up on. Dogs ... can't live with 'em ... can't live without 'em ...
