Parker, Zeke's ears don't normally do that. Moments before this picture was taken, Zeke had reared up on his hind legs. As he was on his way back "down", his giant floppy ears caught the air on the way down...kind of like a parachute. I had the camera in hand and was able to capture the moment his ears were completely horizontal. That's what I love about digital photography. You can take 100 bad pictures just to capture 1 good one.

Zeke, by far, has the largest ears I've seen on any dachshund. When we had our Bow-Wows, one of the "competetions" was largest ear span. When everyone saw Zeke, no one even bothered to to try to measure any other dachsie's ears.
