Iz Oliver wuz not feeling goood, Iz did'nt want to eat my kibble, but only the soft stuff.........................
mum here, On Friday we had both glaciers and electricians in so we put them in my work room, it has carpet and a large window for barking at the people as they go past and missy cannot slip on tiles.
Well they were very quite after a while, thought nothing about it. Then in the afternoon I went to give them their hide chew sticks, Oliver took it but was not to enthusiasticly. Then at dinner time syphon features took moist kibble in his mouth then dropped it. Gave him some wet food and he ate that. Checked all his teeth nothing..............then phoned the vet. Can you believe it on a fri they cldoe at 6PM all other night 9. Went through all the options with the vet who said give him some metacalm for pain, as we thought it must be a tooth and come in on Sat. We trot inGrant tried all the teeth nothing, checked him out nothing other than he had a mark the back of his mouth on the inside of his cheek. His temp was up, but he had got himself really wound up waiting, so as a precaution he got a anibiotic jab.
Three trains of thought, cut in mouth BIG SOOOOOK, barked and hurt his jaw (he dilocated it last year) while the tradies were here or maybe a bite while in my room(I'm going to go in and check this morning without them).
So at present I'm doing the neurotic dachie parent thing watching and seeing everything as a negative. I t usually takes a day for the medcalm to get out the system and the antibiotic.................

Oh dear!  Us Mommies worry so when kiddles aren't eating. Especially dachsies, who ALWAYS eat.  Hope Sir Oliver is feeling bettah.

Rays & Hugs to Ollie hope he feels better real soon disturbing when they do not eat.

Dee Dee and Hallie

Oh no, and the worst is when you don't know what exactly is going on. They must collaborate sometimes to scare the mom! Hopefully it will clear up on it's own. Hallie hasn't been eating too well the last few weeks either and like you my mind goes bad places but you can just keep making justifications of what it might be. Keep us posted on those 2. Amy no more leapies no matter how small!

Spanish Teckels

Poor Oliver and poor Roberta too.  Hope he´s feeling better today and wee Amy refrains from jumping too.  Hope you didn´t find anything in your work room which could have bitten him - an awful thought.  Have a relaxing, safe Sunday.

I was laughing so hard at BIG SOOOOOK, your Scottish heritage is still so strong Roberta. I hope the wee beasties stop giving you heart attacks!! xxxxxxxxxxxx

Gail my heritage has never let go, or so Nick says. He says don't bother getting angry as I don't know what you said after the first few words......................

Oliver is a lot better, to-morrow will be the last day on soft food. I don't know what it was, I think probably his mouth. Amy is real miffed as they both have had no chews, so miss snotty.
Took them for a walk to-day before it heated up, on down hills I now keep madam mOOO on her zip leah so it does not run and jump like and idiot, but as I was helping NIck through the barb fence the line went limp, wee #$@ had slipped her collar and  :nana: :nana: :nana: down the hill after ther brother, with me in hot pursuit. Nick was just laughing.

Glad to hear Oliver's getting better. I remember grandma say, "don't worry much when a dog got sick, mostly it's the way of the body to refresh and gain better strength". ;)

Ooh Amy sounds like naughty Holly, she used to slip her collar on occasion and be offski - I've never run so fast in my life as the time she took off after a rabbit towards a very busy road - swoooop and rugby tackled to capture her by the back legs!

I'm now laughing at the thought of you raging in Scottish at Nick and have that Farside cartoon in my head of "what a dog hears"......

scootersmom

Roberta,

I'm happy to hear Oliver is doing better, hooray!

Amy seems determined to give her Mum a heartattack.  She and Scooter are of similar mindsets...
