Remembering Solomon

It will be 1 year tomorrow when I had to let Solomon go.  I still miss my boy very much.  Here is a poem I wrote to remember him:

                FOR SOLOMON   

         Although I loved you dearly,
         I could not make you stay
         It was your time to go
         Up to heaven’s pathway.

         You are gone but not forgotten,
         Always in my heart
         For you have a special corner there
         That’s your very own sweet part.

         You are now at a place
         Where you have no more cares
         You are free to run, jump, and play
         With all the other dogs there.
         
         I still miss my sweet, sweet, boy
         One of my life’s biggest joys,
         So memories will have to do,
         Until the day I come to you.

It´s hard to believe it´s a year ago already and i know how much you must miss him.  Bet he´s having a great time at the bridge with his pals though and will be watching down over you every day.
