Don´t worry, it´ll make the holiday season longer.  In Spain the cards and presents are given for Epiphany in January - the three Kings - not at Christmas.  The Kings ride through the village throwing sweets and small presents out to the children and ride to the religious service.  When the children get home they supposedly find the Kings have been to their house too and left them a present - if they´ve been good - or a sack of coal ( a real sack but filled with black honeycomb) if they´ve been bad.  Our festivities aren´t over till the 6th January!
