From Vet To Our Monthly Meetup-Our weekend so far

Yesterday, we took Miss Maddie to see "the mean ol' lady" (Dr. Winkler) because for the past month and more, the Roo has been drinking water like a camel.  Recently, she's been drinking so much that she's been bloating herself.  It's been worrisome, so we thought we'd get it checked out.  So she got taken to the back room where the vampires got her and we will know her lab results on Tuesday or Wednesday.  She also has very bad teeth....AGAIN!  She just had her teeth cleaned 6 months ago but doc says the tarter is really bad again, especially where my brush can't reach!  Sooooo, there's an expense I wasn't planning on.  Good thing dentals are discounted this month and she'll already have the blood work done.  I'll get an appt when they call me about her labs.  While we were there, we looked at their boarding facilities.  Mark and I are headed out on an OR/WA road trip in Nov and will be gone for 10 days.  Seems like a nice place and the girls will get to board in the same roomy kennel. 

Now, more FUN news!  We went to our monthly meetup today.  The girls had a good time with Maddie exploring away from us (That's good) and Bonnie exploring but checking back with mommy and papa now and then (That's good).  Saw some 10 week old smoothies there.  Oh how tempting, but I've been informed it would be d-i-v-o-r-c-e if I brought a puppy into the house....LOL.  Nope, I don't have the energy or the budget for another, but they were sure fun to hold.  And of course, my favorite big guy was there.  Chip just loves us and Mark even got him to sing for us.  The dachsies all had lots of fun, especially when they got to run big dogs out of THEIR area. 

I'm glad I don't have to work tomorrow, so I'm putting all my shopping and other chores off 'til then.  Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

What fun! I hope you got pictures? I hate that waiting when it comes to results, let us know as soon as you hear. I used to worry about Hallie because it seemed to me she drank a ton but since we haven't been able to walk at much this last year she has been drinking a lot less, I can notice now how much it increases when she's warm. Has it been warmer in any way lately for Roo? Dentals too ugh...they can put that tarter on fast!
