I took the Zs over to the vet to get their toes chopped.   When I do this, I usually just toss them in the cargo area of our Subaru.   They bounce from side to side, peering out the windows and checking out the world around them.   When I pulled up to stoplight, a motorcycle pulled up behind us.   Zora sounded her alert bark and then went into a series of barks, in which Zeke quickly joined.   Both were standing up on the back window barking at the motocyclist.   I thought that was kind of funny as I had never seen them do that before.   The motorcyclist thought it was pretty funny, too, has he was grinning at these two small dogs barking ferociously at them.

After that, they got their toes chopped.  Zeke always bounds into the back, and Zora cowers.  When they leashed up Zora, she did a 180 and tried to come back to me.   Eventually they just picked her up.   The ride back was uneventful.

I forgot to add that Zeke spotted one of the vet's C-A-T.   Zeke started barking his fool head off at it.   The cat just stared at him, completely unimpressed.   I'm not sure what Zeke would have done.   Zeke is all bark and tends to come off second best when the barking actually turns to brawling.    He's been dinged up by Zora, Rudy-angel, another cat at the vet clinic and our neighbor's Westie.

Zora, like usual, was more piqued by the cat than anything else.   She has learned the futility of violence and governs her acts accordingly...unless the object is one of her toys, which she kills completely without mercy.

Finnegan likes to bark at anything, from the safety of his mom's shadow. As soon as he is approached he is flat on his back, all four feet in the air. Or he gets the wiggles, and slinks over on his belly.

But the second your more then two feet away and his mom is between you, YOU BETTER WATCH OUT!

LOL!  Willy used to do the same thing, before I started crating them for rides in the car.  When I had my Bronco II he would go in the back and bark at the car behind us when we stopped at a light.
