Madderoos Mom

It's about as big as a quarter and doesn't move much and sits right around her lower chest.  Don't know why I didn't find it until today.  It doesn't seem to hurt her but I wonder if it has anything to do with her being restless and spacey these days.  Goin' in for shots on Saturday.  I'll have the doc look at it for us.    If you don't mind, some rays would be nice.  Sheeesh, I've written way too much on this forum today.

We found a similar lump on Bandit in the same exact spot last year.   We had it checked and biopsied by the vet.  We were so worried about it, but it turned out only to be a fat deposit.   I'm hoping that's what it is in Maddie too!   Please keep us posted.  I'll be saying some extra prayers for her.

Rays on the way for Madderoo from Kelly,Blusky&Manny! A couple weeks ago when Blusky went in for a dental he had a lump under his right front paw and the vet told me it was nothing.

My guess is that it is a lipoma (i.e. a benign fatty tumor).   Dachshunds to tend to pick them up in that region.   Max had one develop when he was around 6 or 7.   By the time he was 17 it was fairly large...but thankfully benign, and it had been joined by so many others that we gave him the nickname "Lumpy".

It could easily be a simple cyst.

BeanerWiener

Same thing happened to Beaner a year or so ago, small lump on his tummy.  Turned out to be a fatty cyst, apparently very common and nothing to worry about.  Beaner's eventually disappeared.

Mega rays on the way that it is just a bump !!!!  Rudy has gotten several in the last few months, and the vet has felt them and they are just fatty deposits.  Let us know !
