Long Hair Dachshunds?

Is it normal for a long hair to have fuzzy hair on the sides ? Looks like undercoat to me with no top hair ?Patches has top coat on her back & ears and on her panties & her tail. On the top of her head is fuzzy,on her sides fuzzy and all four legs?
The pictures of the long haired Dachshunds on this form they do not look like they have that much fuzzy hair.Now Patches is not a show dog  she is a pet I was just wondering if I was grooming her wrong or something.

Yes it could be a neutred coat. Oliver has a good coat show wise according to Colleen who breed him Amy is over endude the hairy one she has a dense under coat that grows and grows.
Amy I use a hacksaw blade as a comb and that pulls it out, ollie gets a few fuzzies and I use it on him.
