Each of my crew has a stocking with his or her name on it.  They also have holiday bandannas (of which there are mixed reviews, Buelah love hers, Oscy tolerates the humiliation, Baby Bea HATES anything having to do with fabric on her body, and Bella seems somewhat indifferent).  We fill the stockings with little treats and toys and they get a special Christmas dinner.  Usually a little turkey, white rice and fresh veggies.  We top the evening off with vanilla yogurt for each of the furkids... reviews are raves for that one!
I was just wondering what all of you do?

Each of mine have a stocking hanging on the fireplace mantle.  I wrap up toys and treats for them and on Christmas morning I pass them out to all the "kids."  It is so much fun to see them actually unwrapping their presents.....then we have a de-stuffing party and treat test-tasting all the way around   They get lots of snuggle time and lovin.....and then for dinner they all get to have some of whatever we are having.  I just love Christmas with the furkids!!!   ps:  The C A T S also get special toys and treats and din din on this special day!

This will be our first Christmas with Parker. He already has his sock hanging on the fire place, and he is hoping that Santa will visit with squeakers and bones. I'm not so sure Santa is coming.
He is very cautious around the tree. Of course that didn't stop him from peeing in front of it (the reason for Santa going right by our house).
We have a big open house on Christmas Eve with lots of guests. We are hoping Parker is going to behave and be cute. If not it's off to the xpen with a big chewie bone. The xpen is in a corner of the family room so he will still get to see what's going on, but nobody will step on him.

Well this is our first Christmas with Romeo.  He was 6 months old December 1st.  So far its going good he can't get to the tree because it is on the table and the table he doesn't mess with it.  I think it is going to be a great Christmas with him.  I got him 2 toys already and my mom said she found a hugh chew stick the ones he likes so much and she is going to get him that and some toys I am sure.  Since Zach is in Heaven now it is tuff during this time of year.  Romeo will help make it a little better.  I am sure he will try to help everyone open there gifts lol I am looking forward to that I showed him his stocking when I got it and of course he grabed on to it and wanted to eat it but I said no its your stocking and it gets hung up and then you will have something in it on Christmas morning so that will be neat.  This is our baby our child but still different because he is not a real human you know.  We will see how it all goes.  For Thanksgiving I gave him some people food some turkey and stuff and then there where a bunch of kids so he hoovered up stuff off the floor and he threw up the next day so his little tummy can't handle the holidays lol lol so I don't think he will get much on Christmas.
Thanks for letting me share with you all
hugs and love laura

Mine all get a stocking full of goodies from me (they too, all have stockings with their names, including the kitties).  They also get gifts from my sisters and my parents (they call the the grand-dogs) under the Christmas tree.  They make out like little bandits, I swear.

They get spoiled on Christmas day.  My family is all in Michigan, so I devote my time to the pets on that day.  They get to share Turkey with me if I make that for dinner, they get eggies for breakfast, chewies and treats all day long.   And if the weather isn't too bad, the doggies get to go on an outing, up to the mountains, so they can run around and play in the woods with all the animal smells.   Even just an hour completely wears them out-all those yummy smells and the obstacles to circle around and hop over.

Each have their own Christmas stocking with their names on them.  This year I made new Christmas stockings for everyone including the puppers.  They get to share a bit of whatever we are having for dinner which has been prime rib the past several years.  They get Christmas presents (toys) under the tree along with the usual treats, chewies in the stockings.  Duggie handles Christmas as Looie-Angel did, it doesn't "rev" him up at all except when it comes to food or chewies. Duggie is "thanks, but I think I'll take a nap" attitude.  Duggie does like his toys, but it's more, please open them for me.   Sarge on the other hand LOVES Christmas!  He loves to open presents.....not only his own, but he will help you with yours especially if you are not going fast enough!  I learned early on that I do not put the pupper presents under the tree until Christmas morning.  One year, while we were gone for a few hours, Sarge got under the tree and found all of his presents which he  promptly pullled out from under the tree and opened them!  There were toys scattered all over the place along with the wrapping paper!  Every day, he checks the perimeter of the tree checking out the new packages that have been placed there.  His nose is going 150 MPH sniffing each wrapped present.  He doesn't bother the hooman presents.....just looking for his own.  Sarge really wears himself out on Christmas morning.  Once all the packages are open, he'll pile his toys up and then fall asleep.....on top of them.  Heaven forbid, one of his hoo-siblings may want to play with them.   The puppers are spoiled worse than the hoo-kids!

About 3 years ago when my family and I went to Gatlinburg Tennessee I found stocking with a "DACHSHUND" on it and share it with the boys1 The toys are still in they're wrappers and treats are left on the kitchen counter for them.

We usually get scrambled eggies - the all-occasion celebration! - and we get a few toys and usually a new bed or new pillows for other beds, and always a special treat, like skinless turkey and sometimes some orange juice, and often we get some kind of canine goodie that we rarely see more than two or three times a year!

We have a small stocking for Porky  and then we wrap a whole bunch of squeaky toys, rawhides, etc... and put them under the tree.    We usually have to wrap the gifts multiple times because Porky just can't wait till Christmas.   :2funny:   Then, after Porky get his presents here, we take him to Justin's (my hubby) mom and dad's and he gets more presents from his hoograndma.  They usually get him some blankies, toys, and sweaters.

We have stockings for Penny and Mr. Tucker and put wrapped presents and treats in them! Mr. Tucker could pretty much care less, but Penny loves to open her presents (and yours as well ;) The always get presents from my mom and dad as well. My good friend also gets them gifts since she has deemed herself their Auntie!! Mr Tucker gets whipped cream...which he loves!! And Penny usually gets a few tid bits of whatever we are eating!!

Schatzi always gets Dingo bones and Molly gets some kind of tug toy (which will eventually get hid so she doesn't obsess over it-more fun when we are the ones pulling it out for play). Molly also gets treats and Schatzi will get something to destuff. I'm even thinking of braving a Bobo this year. That is just so much stuffing, but so fun to watch her attack.
Schatzi and I, together, are going to get a nice warm throw for the sofa. I want one that is made of the plush material and not fleece. They are a little heavier, and when I was at my friends house and was using hers, I told Randy that Schatzi and I needed one just like that. It's on the list, for sure! Maybe I can get her back from Randy that way

Hi Teresa,
I found some GREAT throws at Target at a relatively reasonable price.  They have a number of different fabrics .  I got one that is sort of a microfiber and also one that is faux fur.  They are both thick and cozy and WARM!  My crew love to cuddle up with me when I have one to cover up with.
I am SUCH a Target addict!

Willy and Alex have their own stockings and I wrap up their treats and toys.  Its fun to watch them unwrap everything.  They usually get some gravy from the chicken or roast beef that we have for Christmas dinner, or a little cracker with cheese spread if we do the appetizer thing for our dinner (appetizers for each course........veggies and dip, cheese spread, apples and crackers, chicken wings, spinach and cheese filled pastries, and leftover pierogis).

Teresa

I'll have to check out the faux fur throws at Target. That sounds great!!
Hey Patty, Is the Target in Anchorage open yet? I hope that if it is, you've gotten to go there! You can't beat a shopping trip to Target!

The Target in Anchorage is open and so is the one in Wasilla.  I just went to the Wasilla Target yesterday.  Truth be known, there wasn't anything there I couldn't live without.  I still prefer our Walmart superstore and Fred Meyer.

One thing Target will have, quite often, is dog toys in the One Spot, dollar area. I've gotten many things for Schatzi and Molly there. It is one of my favorite areas of the store. You can pick up some great seasonal items there, too.
I think I prefer Target because it is usually quieter than Walmart. That was the first thing I noticed when I went to one. We do have a new Walmart that opened a few weeks ago that I plan to check out. It's always fun to see what they change each time they open a new store.
