Hello New Friends! My Name is Bonnie

My new mommy told me all about this place where dachsies and hoomans meet to yack it up about us furbabies.  I finally got on to paw all of you a note.  Like I said, my name is Bonnie, but my new papa calls me Bon Bon and mommy sometimes gives me funny middle names like Bonnie Belle, or Bonnie Lou and even Bonnie Sue.  I was looking over some notes from my new doglet sissy, Maddie.  She talks like a baby but I speak using perfect diction.....well almost.  Here's a little bit about me.

I am 9 years old, so they say.  This may be true but I act like that 9 is upside down.  I love to play fetch with my favorite Tweetie toy.  I LOVE to snuggle, but am still a little scared.  I flinch when mommy or papa kiss me on top of my head, but I'll get used to it.  I LOVE belly rubs, but I dont know what a zerbert is yet.  I am a HOUND.....Attention hound, that is.  If Maddie is getting pets, I like to squeeze in and get pets too.  And speaking of Maddie, I'm TRYING real hard to get her to play with me, but she hasn't yet.  I will keep trying.

Some of my favorite things, so far, in my new home:  SHOWERS!  I wish I could jump in the shower every day, but mommy says she can't have me in the shower with her on a workday.  What's up with that?  I love to wag my tail.  Mommy and papa call me Miss Waggy Tail.  I have so many names here.  I also love to sleep in the big bed, but I get hot sometimes and pant and have to come out of the covers and lay on top of them until I cool down.  If I have settled in and done my night night sigh, I grumble at Maddie when she gets restless and walks on me.  I love to go on walkies.  There's lots to smell around here and I walk very well.

Mommy says that she's not sure I'm a real dachshund because I don't hoover my food.  I am a LADY.  Ladies eat daintily.  Oh, and I would be mortified to do poopies in the house.  I ALWAYS go outside.

I hope that I can make friends here.  Every day gets better and better here.  Mommy says I'm "blossoming".  Does that mean I'm sprouting flowers?

Oh!  I must go.  Madison is getting attention and I must horn in.

Thank you for making me feel so welcome!  I grrrr'd at Maddie tonight because she was trying to sneak my food.  Just because she's a piggy and I'm a lady doesn't mean she should snitch a snack.
