We have a couple of different things in our yard that the furkids have started eating.

The first is rabbit poo. It seems as though the rabbits go potty all over our yard and the puppers are sure to find all of it!

The other is small berry things from our pear trees. These aren't the fruit bearing pear trees - but the decorative ones that everyone in Oklahoma has even though they are usually blown over with the first gust of wind that comes along!

We make them leave both the poo and the berries along when we see them sniffing around, but there are times when they are out in the yard unsupervised. Any ideas if either are toxic or bad for dogs?

I have not heard if either are toxic to dogs.  Maybe you could do a "google" search on both subjects or maybe check with your vet.  We have berries in our yard from our dogwood tree in the Fall but so far neither of mine have been interested in them.  If Auntie Karen were on right now, she may be able to give you an answer on the rabbit poo!!

Wow, good questions!   I think the google idea would be good.  I honestly have no idea whether or not they would harm your pups.   Good Luck!

The only concern I would have ( & Do have because Delilah eats poop) is them picking up intestinal parasites.. ie worms from eating the wild rabbit poop.  We get the yearly poop test and do ....uhh watch for anyhting unusual when they go potty.
I don't know anything about Pear tree berries.
