Our fire-belly toad passed away sometime yesterday.  He lived a good, long life for a toad, spending his days in a fish tank outfitted with a waterfall, which streamed through a "forest," before pouring into a pond.

We haven't decided on what to do about the tank.  We've always enjoyed the sound of the waterfall.  Would it be crazy to just have the empty tank with water running?  We don't really want to get another amphibian at this point.

Sorry the toad passed away.  I am glad to hear he lived a healthy and happy life though.

You will probably get a lot of questions from visitors to your home if you have a tank with nothing in it, but if that does not bother you, then keep the tank up.

Is there something that requires little maintenance or expense that you can put in there?  I was thinking a little turtle maybe, but I've never owned one and don't know how much work they are.

Sorry about your toad.  He lived a long healthy life - that is what is important !!!!

Keep the waterfall - if you can find peace and relaxation sitting and listening - go for it !!!!!

We have a waterfall in our swimming pool and fall and spring days, I turn it on and sit outside and read !
