I just saved $40 - I'm a TOE CHOPPER!

Yessir, puppers and puppettes, hoomoms and dads, and Master James Coover, it is I Auntie Karen, Doxie wrangler and newly minted TOE CHOPPER!

After dealing with Guinness and the toe chopping drama, I decided to take the dachshund by the harness and chop off some toes.  And by golly I did good!

Merlin's paws are white so his nails are easy to see.  I've never chopped his in two years, and they weren't really long, just razor sharp!  Then on to Dr. Leaky, who has fairly short nails.  He was easy.  Ima kissed me the entire time!

Since Guinness just got his toes chopped in Tennessee, I wimped out on him.  No pupper screams in such agony at the sight of nail clippers - I hold them a foot away from his paw and he starts sceaming and flinging himself out of everyone's arms.

Yea to D'Niel for doing the holding honors and ccoperating - "Who are you and what have you done with my son?"  LOL!!

I'm taking appointments - and drop-ins are always welcome.

LOL lady you'd be rich if you wrote a book of all your adventures! Good going with the toe chopping! Hallie doesn't like it but she does lay still and even falls asleep sometimes while I chop. She also puts up with the teeth brushing and scraping but I get dirty looks...she does love flossing though!  :thumb:

Actually, I finally got Zeke and Zora acquainted with an old friend of mine...Dr. Dremel.   It saves me $32 a pop.   While I used to fly solo with Rudy and Max while doing the dremel, I need Margie's help to hold the Zs still.  Surprisingly, Zora is far less cooperative than Zeke.   While toe chopping is a lot faster, I do like the final result with the Dremel, and I don't have to worry about cutting the quick.

Way to go Auntie Karen!!!!  I have to sedate Solly or pay big bucks (which I don't have).  I just got him on Saturday, boy what fun!!!!
I had really let his go too long, but now they are back where they belong.  Keep up the good work, and tell the herd Howdy from Solly and me.

Congratulations on the toe chopping my vet charges $10.00 a dog? so ordered the Peticure it came but is missing 2 parts they are suppose to be sending.My old Papillon Gizmo was easy all white toenails now with Buddy & Patches the scary all black toenails. Hope your gang got allot of treats for the toe chopping they say that is the best way to get them to sorta put up with it.
