Dachshunds are actually going to be on the August cover too-I'm really looking forward to that one!  Per one of the breeders on a different site I belong to, she got an an advertising solicitation from them:

DOG FANCY, the largest dog-related magazine on the planet, is
doing a special breed profile on the Miniature Dachshund in the August
2008 issue. In addition to being the cover dog, there will be several
pages of information, articles and numerous full color photos devoted to
the breed. The articles and info will include both the Minis & Standard
Dachshunds and it'll cover all three coats. There will be
approximately 250,000 copies sold for this issue so we expect this issue to
generate lots of interested within the breed.
