Really Upset

I have really been upset looks like I will stay that way for awhile have been on Social Security Disability since 2004 took about almost 2 years to get on it getting it is not easy at all.Then get a very small disability check from where I use to work well about 6 months ago I had to find a new doctor my doctor quit doctoring. It took about 3 months to find a new doctor. I get some paperwork to be filled out by the doctor from the Disability insurance place take it to the doctors his nurse fills it out saying I can go back to work??? Took it back and said I do not think so have all those back problems.Herniated disc,2 Bulging disc's, Sever Spinal Stenosis, Degenerative Disk disease, Total Left knee, Right knee has 70% of the cartilage gone in it, found a fracture in my left hip it pops all the time,Achilles Tendinitis in both feet, COPD, & Diabetic like sure I can go back and work as a Nurses aide. Then on top of all that I told the nurse I cannot walk far I walk my dogs using a Medical Scooter asked her if she knew that she said no she said she would fix it. Ok if I get the paper back with white out all over it I'm sure there will be major questions and the insurance company will contact Social Security Disability about it. Why do people just only look at the top part of a chart copies of my MRI's were in my chart she never looked at that part of my chart. Can not do any sit down jobs fell on the cement Patio last summer did something to my tail bone all my doctor said at the time was nothing can be done for a tail bone???It bothers me off and on like everyone I have my good days & bad days. What are you suppose to do get a job and call in saying oh I cannot come to work today in too much pain maybe tomarrow I can come to work better just not to work in the first place than to get fired all the time.
Sorry for venting but just really worried I will have to give up Patches & Buddy if I have no monies coming in Hubby would not pay for their food,vet care and all the other things dogs require with hubby his monies comes first he has always had his monies to himself & my monies bought all the groceries he does pay utility's & house taxes. I think I got the short end of the stick there but been married 35 years now so no use now to change.
Sorry for venting but do not have anyone to vent too except the dogs.

Oh holy crap, I am so sorry you are going thru this.  What can I do to help?  Me, with my ruptured disc experience, I can kinda relate to all you have, and are, going thru.   Are you still married?  And he won't help with the dogs?  Hello?  Give me a break.  Above and beyond all else, you need those dogs, for comfort and moral support.  The "system" really sucks at times.  I hope they can help you out.  What I have learned thru my experience is that these so-called HR Departments at our work places need to give the employees who are down a hand................give them a "case worker" to help them thru all this BS and paperwork and all that.  When we are broken down and in pain, we need help!!!!!!!!  We are not always clear headed enough to handle the many pages of paperwork that need to be filled out.  I am shaking my head here.......wish I was closer so I could help.

I work in a medical office and am so careful with paperwork.  I have also been seeing alot of doctors at the moment and cannot believe the lack of care, and professionalism out there.  I have been with out an important med for 2 days now waiting for doc to call back, I've called twice.  waiting for madatory mail script to be processed that I am now out of and these are my crazy pills!!!! I told my husband BEWARE!!! I think our healthcare is pardon my french going down the shithole!   I hope they get you straightened out soon that is a terrible stressfull situation to be in!

Oh my gosh Papbouv....this is terrible....this is not right!!!  I will say prayers that everything gets straightened out for you.....So sorry you are having to go through all this....it is very stressful.  We are all here for you...

Thanks to both of the replies I get stressed I have more back pain know that happens I try not to get stressed but it always happens I have no control over it. Yes I agree about doctors non caring attitudes especially with women they  think everything is in our heads then some nurses and receptionstions also try to protect their doctors and keep allot of things from them
Use to long time ago you stayed with one doctor all your life they knew you well & all your problems nowdays you get shifted from doctor to doctor though no fault of your own big mess trying to keep up with all of the patients then some doctors have way too many patients. Thanks for letting me vent.

Check with SPCA in your area and see if they have any programs or know of any to help with dog/vet issues.  Hope they can help.

Are you feeling any better?  Email me if you'd like to talk or get on a Messenger chat or something.  I am sitting here complaining about depression since my surgery and there you are with all this pain that is unresolved.  And getting the runaround besides.  I am so sorry.  Sometimes the doctors just don't get it.

Sorry you are going through all this!!    I agree that too often medical offices do strange things with paperwork!!  I know when I first moved over here But I had seen the doctor several times, including the time I called cuz I wrenched my seriously arthritic knee.
Dr's office insisted on referring me to orthopedic surgeon(he was an even worse idiot).... but then a couple months later when I need recertification for the handicapped license plates(which I have had sinc 1985 !!!! ) the drs office said you have to make an appointment to see the doctor before she will be able to sign that!  So I go in, she takes one look at me and says, oh geez, I didn't realize it was you that needed this filled out. I certainly didnt need to see you!!  The ortho idiot I have already told my doctor I refuse to see again.
he xrayed both knees said they both are really bad, and I should just go sit in a wheelchair or cart 24/7.  It took 5 years to get off the stupid walker so there is no way I will willingly give in to a wheelchair etc before I have no choice.  I think he also told me to diet and drop all the extra weight and he will do knee replacements on both knees right away. 

A coworker who was having 2nd or 3rd surgery on hands and needed leave slips filled out and the docs assistant said she could return to work the next monday.  our job requires typing and answering the phones constantly. 

If you get the paperwork back all messed up or are expecting to maybe call the insurance company, tell them the doctors office messed up the paperwork and ask if you can get another copy of the paperwork.  If the doctors office says they will send it direct, I would insist they send it to you so you can tell it is completed right.

Has been about a week and a half since I called have not heard a word from them have an appointment to see the dr 7/1/08 will have a different paper for him to sign not going though nurse or people at the desk at all. I will ask for the other paper back just hope she did not send it to the insurance company I told her I had other papers to go with it so hope she just stuck it in my file. This is the same dr that has asked me 3-4 times to have back surgery for my spinal stenosis???? just do not know about people nowdays.
