Now that Hallie is feeling better we're back to having a ball and doing things at our usual breakneck speed. Here are some from the last few days. We spent the night at "Grandma's" on her birthday, Hallie is in bed saying put that camera down and come snuggle with me. Notice her patch...still pretty bald at 2 months plus.

Next one, Hallie sez stop yellin' at me crow or I'll turn my high beams on you!

Third one, my 2 friends and I were buying out the art supply store. Sandy is one of the few people I trust to carry her "properly"  :thumb: but as you can see Hallie always has her eye on me.

Last one is a very sweet lady we paint with sometimes, holding onto the kid while I pay for frames. I do all these things myself while holding Hallie in one arm usually but they like to hold her and it's probably good that we are not touching for at least 5 min a day lol.

Hallie tried to make friends with this lady and little girl but they wouldn't talk to her.

Second one, we are at a fancy art gallery (it was SOOO cool my favorite one in the area but pretty high falutin'!) It was dark in there!

At the barns at the Arabian Horse show we went to, Hallie helped me take photos (and rolled in lots of horse manooie!!)

Last one at a garden store called Bark N Garden but Hallie was disappointed she didn't hear any barking at all.

I love seeing pictures of Hallie.  She is such a pretty girl!  And her mom is a great photographer!

Thanks Nikki! This was just a little point and shoot but it records the memories. :)

Barb it is SO wonderful having her feel so good again. She always looks so subdued in her photos on trips like this, because as soon as I point the camera at her she resigns herself and sits still with a bored look waiting for the shot. As soon as I'm done she looks animated again. Other than stroller shots...those she looks like that all the time she loves her stroller and doesn't move a muscle when in it, she won't even stand up to help me lift her out when it's time to get out she's like a limp noodle, she doesn't want out!

LOL Roberta, well the nice thing about horse doo, is it's vegetarian...much better to take then carnivore doo. I had Hallie in my lap while getting my hair cut yesterday and my hair lady was inspecting her patch closely and we concurred that it HAS grown (she saw it when it was fresh too) but only milimeters. I am hoping it will suddenly fill in fast like a few of you said your pups did.

The art gallery is right next to a thai restaurant. Since we were on a tiny little off street, with lots of trees and shade and we were parked literally 6 feet from my van to the table in the restaurant at the big windows (the width of the sidewalk) I agreed to leave Hallie in the van while we ate lunch. I went to the ladies room at one point, and when I came out...I  somehow emerged out into an Italian restaurant....in the kitchen...with workers there but no customers yet. They stared at me in silence as I stopped and looked around a bit dazed, then quickly walked through and left by their front door back out onto the street. I had some 'splainin' to do to my friends when I came back in the front door of the Thai restaurant to rejoin them.

"How did you get out THERE??"

"That's what I'D like to know!"

It is so good to see Miss Hallie out and about again.  She is looking great.  Thanks for the pics, have to admit she does take a good picture.

Handle every "Situation" like a dog.
If you can't eat it or play with it,
tinkle on it and walk away.

THanks, I am doing cartwheels that she is feeling so good and we can do all these things again. We appreciate EVERY minute. And I do believe I finally see a light covering of dark fuzz on her patch! Still more skin than hair showing but at least there is hope it might sprout soon!  Her skin there is very flakey and dry though, anyone have any suggestions on what can safely be put on dry skin? She gets fish oil, etc so it shouldn't be her diet.

Have you tried rubbing a little human-grade vitamin E on the spot?  Massage time is always fun!  Since it's on her back, maybe some lotion with vitamin E or something with colloid oatmeal, like Aveeno lotion, so you won't get an oily buildup?  I like the lavender one - very calming and soothing...

Good idea Julia, is there any ingredients I should watch for that might be bad for her if she licked it off her skin? Now she is getting flakies on her tummy too, the vet today looked at them and went "hmm!". She's not itchy at all there so I think it's just flakes.

Yes massage time is great for both us and the pupper. I love giving Hallie massages and watching her melt into a bowl of jello. Add in baby talk and it's all over. :)

Wonderful pictures! She looks like she's melted into her stroller! Her patch does still look pretty obvious, doesn't it? Oh, well...it will grow in eventually and it's the least of what could have been! She looks great!!!!!!   :hello2:
