How great it is that they look forward to seeing you each year, just as much as you look forward to seeing them. I'm sure they were sad to hear about Louie-angel. Did Duggie have fun chasing the mowers? I'm sure Sarge didn't waste anytime showing Duggie how it was done. I wonder if Duggie will try running with a toy in his mouth! I still remember the picture of Louie doing that.

Aww - how cute!  I was just thinking about Sarge and his Garden of Eatin' and wondering about such as the mowers, then - lo(w) and behold!  How kind of the guys to 'splain to your guys just what's going on, and make friends!

The alien mower machines are back!

Auntie Karen HATES grass. :BangHead:  She says, "What is the point of grass?  It grows, you mow it, it grows again.  What exactly IS the point???  Thank goodness for winter!"

She is taking out the lawn on the front hill and planting a perennial garden.  It's slow going, but little by little it's getting there!  :thumb:

"Let me out front and I'll make the lawn disappear!" :headbang:

Oh, yeah, right the lawn???  You run off so fast, you've never even seen the front yard!" :nana:

Yeah, right it looked good THEN; it always looks great in the first five minutes after mowing.  Then the @#$%^ grass starts growing and before you can say, "Where's the TV remote" it's time to mow. . . AGAIN!!!!

Just think about the word grass:  gr-[censored].  I hate the stuff.

I always like this time of year, because my lawn is actually green.   By August, it will be brown.

Priceless! I would mow lawns if it meant I got to visit Sarge and Duggie on a regular basis.

I just love your yard Dee. It always looks like a crew of landscape guys just got done with it. Your grass is so GREEN! Glad you are seeing it again although I hear you may be getting a little more white stuff this weekend. We may get some too, crazy for the middle of April.

Duggie picked right up on what Sarge was doing and followed him!  I don't know if Duggie will do the Looie-Angel trick of carrying a toy and barking.  I will say that he likes to take toys outside.....one day he took about seven toys outside and left them......Sarge brought them all back in the house by the end of the day!  Dee

More snow is in the prediction for this coming weekend!  Never have we had this much snow this late in the season.  We had a layer of snow on Monday morning --- and temps in the 30's.  On Sunday, the temperature was 77 degrees!  Talk about a shock to your system!! Dee

The boys will be out every Wednesday morning now until October.......greeting the landscape crew at the school.  It's been the same guys for several years now and they always stop and chat for a few minutes and talk to the furkids and to us. If we are going to be gone, we let them know because they worry if they don't see the boys or the hoomans......we have additional guardian angels watching over us.   The grass is pretty green (although I see a few weeds that need to be taken care of) -- we have a service come out to fertilize and feed the grass (all dog friendly substances) so it stays pretty green all season.  It has already had two treatments -- yeah, we are suppose to get more snow this weekend!  This is the latest that it has snowed!  On Sunday, the temp was 77 degrees -- by Monday morning, the temps were in the 30's and we had a layer of snow on the ground!  I really want to start working in my flower gardens and I want to plant a Looie-Angel Memory flower garden but am going to wait until it warms up and stays warm!  I am hoping that with the warm weather, if it ever stays long enough, I will get some close up pics of Duggie for you, DeeDee!

Before long I will be cutting grass again (or Randy or Meghan will  ) We went by our house today to pick up a check from the people living there, and the grass is beautful. I'm going to go over in a couple of weeks and plant the impatiens in the front yard. Eric said he and his wife will help, which sounds great to me! I've just got to find a way to keep them from getting trampled during their moving out and our moving in. If I wait until June to plant them, it will be too hot and they will have a hard time surviving, so I'll come up with some kind of solution. I'm more excited about watching Schatzi having fun in a yard of her own than anything else. It will be so much fun seeing what she does those first few days.
