Brandy update

She came through the lancing of her abcess fine and I will pick her up in a couple hours.  She has her foot wrapped up and will need to wear a cone for a couple days - or if she does not bother it, she won't have to wear the cone! I figure that she will want to lick it.....

poor wee baby the cone, you might be able to get extra treats for mum if your good and not run about.

Glad to hear Brandy did well..  Continued rays for a quick healing...  Belly rubs to the kids....

Hey Barb,

I missed that Brandy wasn't feeling well. Glad she came through a-ok. Here's hoping she heals quickly!

Thank you for the rays and good wishes.  We had a pretty rough night - she just couldn't get comfortable.  She is able to walk around, just with a hitch in her step - her paw is wrapped up all the way to the joint.  We go back tomorrow (Thurs) afternoon for them to remove the bandage and if all looks well, then the bandage will stay off.   If she bothers it then, she will have to wear the cone.  She was still out of it yesterday and last night, and would lick above the bandage, but didn't try to get it off.

Since we got rain, I had to Saran Wrap it this morning before going outside.  I was kind of concerned that she didn't pp - she just wanted to go back inside.  I have my dog walker coming twice to check in on them.  I set up the x-pen in the dining room and put Rudy's bed on the outside, next to Brandy's.  Hopefully they will both snuggle in and sleep the day away.

I took a couple pictures, and will try to post tonight.  My poor baby......

Poor thing! It is so hard when they don't feel good :bandaid:! Sounds like she is on the mend so that is good news  :thumb:

Oh poor Brandy!!  Soooo sorry to hear about this.  I am glad it is over and she is on the mend.  Hopefully her foot will heal quickly... :comfort: to you sweet girl!
