Any Ideas on what to do with Patches

When I got Patches age of 16 weeks, her breeder a couple that had children,Patches now at age 2 in Jan Patches barks at kids??? we do not have any kids my son is 36 years old married but they have no children do not expect to have any due to health reasons. Buddy, Patches & I were out on the scooter today stopped at Lowe's bought one item. While waiting to get checked out the lady in front of us had 3 little kids well Patches GROWLED & Barked at the kids???? I do not like this situation at all any ideas on how to fix this problem with out getting a child bit????

Immediately place yourself in Patches' space, move toward HER, and either "tch, tch, tch" at her or say, "hey, hey, hey."  Touch her on the neck with your hand "bite style"  with open fingers pressing in like a mother dog's mouth on a naughty puppy.  Keep tching, and touching - no affection, no other words.  You assert that YOU are alpha, patches must be calm/submissive.
