Hi All!  Sorry I've been a bit MIA lately. I was up visiting my good friend in San Francisco for some "girl" time and now we are getting ready to basically move out of our place to get new carpet tomorrow.

So I thought I would pass on this tid bit of information to you all...calling on your carpet warranty can be worth it! We got new carpet about 3 years ago when we remodeled our place but over the last couple of months it just wasn't looking right. It was getting really frizzy on the ends of the threads and such. We got a higher end carpet originally because we really liked the quality of it and the feel of it. So I called the place the place we purchased it from and they were really nice and told me that it had a 10 year warranty for texture so he would submit a claim and see what happens. The warranty was through Stainmaster and a really nice rep called me about 2 days after submitting the claim. I gave her all the details and provided the receipts for the cleanings we had (you have to have a cleaning every 2 years to keep the warranty active). She had me send her a sample of our carpet for testing (we had excess in our storage unit from the original install). They tested it and called me a week later and said they were replacing all our carpet for free since it didn't meet their standards (if it had met their standards they would have come and done a visual inspection). So long story short....some companies live up to their warranties and make it an easy process to deal with. So tomorrow we are getting new carpet again  :hello2: unfortunately we have to move everything out of the house! :verdict:

Wow that is great news to get new carpet some company's try to get out of warranties some stand by their product too, moving all the belongings out just means you have a head start on your Spring cleaning not unless you have already done it.

Wow - a pain in the you know what to have to move everything, but like Papbouv said - great time to Spring Clean.  That is great that they do take care of their warranty!  Are you getting the same color?

Yeah - we are getting the same color. It took us forever to pick it out in the first place and we really like it. We could have picked something else but really didn't want to.
