I love all the writings, very creative and intelligent. 
My boys - McGuinn and McGwire finally nosed/hearded me onto the 'puter.
We are from Illinois, and can be noisy because we love singing OFTEN. 
We're housebroken and happy laying on the deck or doing our trains.
I am going to try to put up pictures.

I love your pictures of your sweeties.  McGuinn reminds me of my little black and tan, Schnitzel, who died two months ago.  I am new here too so I just thought I would say hi.

My sincere condolences to you. 
Being from "the last best place" I hope you can escape into your wonderful outdoors and heal from your loss.  I am humbled that you replied to my post while in mourning.  I have lost loved ones (human and non human).  The ache quiets down to a whisper eventually.  Feel free to reach out again.

My husband and I love the Bassets. They have about as much energy as the Bulldogs do!
