 :hello2:

Some of you may remember me.  I'm Kris and I live in PA with my dachsund Willi.  It's been quite awhile since I've posted here and I'm so happy to see that the board is still up and running.  What a neat new format.

Anywho, things have been so busy since I had my little girl back in 2002.  She's 5 now and in Kindergarten.  Now I seem to have a few more minutes in the day since she's in school.  I also have a new Nephew who is 14 weeks old and I watch him three days a week while my sister works.  =)

Well, Willi is now a 9 year old grump.  hahaha!  He is all gray and mostly likes to snuggle under the covers during the day.  I still love him though and he still eats like a vacuum and gets around pretty well.  We bought him stairs to use to get up to our bed at night but being the stubborn dachshund that he is he'll just sit by the side of the bed until one of us puts him up there.  Talk about royal treatment!  At least my 15 year old cat will use the stairs so it wasn't a total loss.

I also wanted to share with you a great happy ending.  My husband's co-worker's Aunt recently adoped an Albino dachshund.  Unfortunately, the little guy was born without eyes.  =(   A lady that goes to the Aunt's church was going to have him put to sleep but the Aunt is a lot like all of us and couldn't see that happening so she took him in.  He is doing great and they are both so happy.  Even with no eyes, the little guy is just a cute pie.

While I'm here, I'd like to shout out to some of the Wiener Writings crew that I remember some of you are still here I think.  If you know anything about the others, let me know.

Barb --- Hi!
Dee Dee and Hallie ---- Hi!  So glad to see you still here.  I so hope you are still doing your wonderful paintings and drawings.

Hi Kris!!!  It's good to see you and Willi back on board the WienerTrain.  Clifford and I are going white together and he will be 14 in May.
There's nothing like having a dachshund tongue up your nose at 3 a.m.

Hi Kris, my name is Kelly and I've been a part of Weiner Writings since 2003 or 2004! I just wanted to say that I am happy for your friends Aunt.I want to tell you that I have a doxie that is almost blind and he gets around our house with no problems. If we move something in one of the rooms we show him what was moved and where it was moved to.
Where about in Pennsylvania are you? I have some friends from Dachshund Rescue in Markleysburg!

Hi Kris!

You were at our Bow Wow in 2003 with Willi.   He was the perfect clear red.   Hard to picture him as grey now!  Rudy & Max passed in 2005 & 2006, respectively, but we ended up adopting Zeke and Zora, who were also at the 2003 Bow Wow.    Hope to hear more from you.

Dee Dee and Hallie

Kris! It's so great to see you and Willi. I can't believe he is 9 already. Glad to hear you are all well and Willi is doing fine.

That is an amazing story about the albino doxie. Poor thing...what are people thinking when they breed for color! There are going to be tragedies like this. I have never seen a picture of an albino doxie I'll bet he is a beautiful boy though.
