Sorry I've been MIA! We've been super busy!

Here are pics of the snuggle sacks I made Berman and Lucy for Christmas.  They haven't figured out how to get in them - just under them or on them!  I think I need to run some sort of wire around the opening to hold the sack open for them. But that would probably require some sort of sewing experience - and I have none.

Also - I got engaged on Christmast Eve...and I'm selling my house...and buying a new house...and planning a wedding in Nantucket...and a big ol' reception here (Tulsa area). WHEW!! I think that's it for now!

I'll try to be a better WW message board member!

Here's a suggestion! My Mom uses old mini blinds under the edge of the opening and then sews material over the blind!

WOW, Congratulations on your engagement!!!  When's the wedding?  And you're selling your house!  I hope you make a good profit.
The snuggle sacks you made are really cute.  How do you make those, is it just tying knots?  They really look cozy.
Good to hear from you and all your great news.

Thanks! We're trying to plan the wedding for sometime in May.  It's actually just an elopement - this is "I do Take 2" for both of us so we want it to be simple and just the 2 of us.

I made the snuggle sacks like those no sew blankets - someone on the board suggested it (forgive me for not remembering who!).  I got a yard of fleece (it comes doubled up), folded the whole piece in 1/2, cut 3" strips (or about the length of my scissors) every 1" or so to make tabs on both sides then knotted the tabs together. It's like a big pillow case.  Of course with the regular no sew blankets, you cut tabs around the entire blanket.

Anyway - they were super easy and cheep to make! I think they cost me around $5 each or so - depends what print you get.

Thanks! Yes - we're looking to stay in the same area. We both work in Tulsa - actually at the same company - so we're looking to stay in this general area.

if ya have a sewing machine, sew a loooooooooong tube a little over the diameter of a quarter--when finished.  Get yerself a broomstick and stuff that turkey really hard with fiber fill.  cram the whole bag of ifber fill in there.  It will be stiff enough to hold itself "open"   I hesitaste (hesitaste, ha ha: sounds like what you do when you're not sure you should eat that day old crab dip.) HESITATE to see ya use wire 'cause you know these kids eat anything!!

The other news: WOWWIWOW WOW!
