Hi everybody I am posting this for MimisMomma.  She called me today on her way home from work and said the snow in Omaha was coming down like crazy.  She wants me to let everyone know that she is still out there and did not fall off the face of the Earth.  She has been without internet service for at least 5 days now and is not sure when her service provider will have her back up and running. 

She has been having some problems with a new thyroid medication she is taking as it is making her heart race....so bad that early Sunday morning she was at the Emergency Room for four hours.  Her heart rate was 145!!  Today she tried to call her doctor but hadn't heard back from them yet when I talked to her.  Her heart is still racing today and she is still having chest discomfort.  it is quite some scary stuff...so...Mel could use some rays and prayers that the doctor gets her medication straightened out and she starts feeling better.  I don't remember the name of the medication she is taking.

If I hear anything more from her I will let you all know.

Gee hope you feel better soon rays from us, really scary since most doctors to not recognize heart attacks in women as you know its all in our heads.

I just emailed an article to her this morning (before reading this) about thyroid disease. It was in one of my dental hygiene magazines and was really informative. I hope she is back online soon and also feeling better. It is hard to get the medication regulated, but once it is, she will feel much better.

I talked to Mel again yesterday.  Her doctor's office called her back and they stated her symptoms were a result of her medication dosage being too high.....they are going to try and adjust her meds accordingly.  Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers for Mel.  She has been feeling bad too too long.  I can't even imagine what she has endured since last August.


Teresa, could you email me that article on thyroid disease also?  My sister was diagnosed this past Fall.  She stood up at her work and just passed out.  The doctors stated her thyroid problem led to her having low blood pressure.
