OK so I had my latest doc appointment. She is pretty sure it is Fibromyalgia. Too bad I don't have support at home. You guys are the only ones that  have showed any concern. Thank you for being there for me. Don't know what is going to happen now. But I do know I have to find a support group.

Sorry about the news, Mel.  I don't know much about fibromyalga.  I hope you can find a way to manage it.

Thanks, I appreciate your support!! There are lots of things out there on line that I have been reading along with the previous post suggestions. I am trying to find the best thing for me right now. It looks like it should be no problem managing the pain. As long as I know the boundaries of what I can and can't do and stick with a good exercise program and diet ( which by the way from what I have seen does not include hot dogs!!!) then I should be ok.  I just have to re adjust my daily routine and go from there. The good thing is the puppers think it is cool because I snuggle more with them!!

I am glad that you finally have an answer, so now both you & the Dr. can offer the correct treatment(s).  I strongly agree with you that a support group would be great.  I think it would be helpful to talk to people who can relate and actually know how you are feeling.
...and I think there's no better therapy than a warm snuggly dachshund.

At least you have a reason for the way you're feeling. You know it's not in your head. I agree with everyone else - a support group will do what noone else can. Keep us posted. BTW, next to the support group, you've got the best healers at home! Let them work their magic on you.

OK this is getting really confusing and I am sure all of you are tired of this. When I saw the doctor yesterday she took more blood to check the thyroid one last time and do a CBC. Just to rule everything else out. Well she called me just  a little while ago and she said she was shocked with the results. My thyroid count is higher than it was in October which was 7.04 now it is 7.14. So she is getting an urgent referal to a hormome specialist for next week. She said she doesn't feel comfortable starting a hormone replacement because the count is going up then down. This is all very confusing. Last night I felt mentally better since I thought I knew what was wrong. It is easier to deal with when you know. Now I have no clue what is going on. The doctor can't think of why it is going up and down either. Any ideas would be very welcome at this point. Man this is really crazy that is for sure.

At least seeing an endocrinologist, which is the type of doctor I'm guessing she is sending you to, should give you a definite answer on the thyroid. They can order an ultrasound and nuclear scan if you haven't had any of those, and then they can decide what to do about medication. I still think that you are hypothyroid. The fact that it has been up more than once, makes me suspicious of that. If they can start you on the medication and get that under control, you will feel much better. At least she is getting you in quickly. I'll see if I can talk to a friend of mine who is a physician over the holidays and pick her brain a little on this.
