Has anyone every watched the movie 12 Dogs of Christmas? I picked it up tonight when I was renting something else. Figured it would be fun to watch with Schatzi later this week.I'll have to get pictures of her watching it. With that many dogs on TV, it should be interesting!

For those of you wanting to have a holiday flashback, here is a link to a commercial many of you will remember. I always considered it the start of the Christmas season!

O.K., I know i'm suffering from "post-stroke early onset dementia" so I'm sitting here like a dolt, watching a youtube older-than-Moses commercial, and I'm wondering, "12 Dogs of Christmas?  Watch this with Schatzi?  :dontknow: Dachshunds??  He&*#'s  bells, I don't see a single wet nose in the whole dang thing!

Karen  SSLOL!!

I'm doing much better with dachshunds and rabbits."

It's okay Karen, I was having a typical ADD moment myself. I'm sorry I made you wonder about your state of mind again!! To clear it up for others, The 12 Dogs of Christmas is a movie, the Youtube link is the old commercial, so no wet noses there. Sorry to make you wonder ab

HAHAHAHAHA!  I love "older than Moses".  Thanks for the laugh.  And speaking of older than Moses, yesterday I was trying to explain what a "Way-Back Machine" was to a 25 yr old co-worker and just who Mr. Peabody and Sherman were.

Feeling a little GEEZER?   Identify this quote:

"Help, Cecil, help!"

Do you know the response?

Don't feel bad when it came time for the 25th Anniversary of JFK's assassination a coworker chimed up saying I wasn't even born then.  Talk about feeling old.

Ok, I'm dating myself (or un-dating myself, as it may)....wasn't around for that Norelco commercial.  But, have you seen the new one online about "second puberty"?  Hilarious!

I do know who Mr. Peabody and Sherman are.

A couple years ago my husband and I were attending the Marine Corps Ball, and a young Marine in DH's platoon was talking to us.  His date was just cute as a button, and my husband said, "You look like Mary Lou Retton!"  To which she replied, "Who is that?"  That was the first time that I felt old!

Do you remember Mighty Mouse?
Yogi Bear and Boo-Boo........In Jellystone Park?

I don't know the response, but I'm guessing Beanie was calling to Cecil the Seasick Sea Serpent.

I bet your right Mike. I only saw a few episodes of that show but, it sounds like a quote from that show.   :thinik:

Must be the week for this sort of thing.  My 32 year old co-worker had no idea what a fluffer-nutter sandwich was!

I believe you are right, Mike.  But I bet alot of people don't call the fluffer part Marshmallow Fluff, as it was always known as to our generation, they probably know it as Marshmallow Creme.  (Fluff is better)

PattyInAK

Remember Ideal Chocolate Peanut Bars?  The cookie?  OMG, they were killer.  I have searched the web for them and they are no longer made.  They have/had quite the following though.

TerriL

Yep...Marshmallow Fluff and Peanut butter....preferably on white bread.  One of the greatest inventions of the last century!  I think Patty is right and "Fluff" is now called Marshmallow Creme.  I have a fudge recipe that calls for it that is positively sinful!

Yes, the Marshmallow FLUFF fudge is one of the most perfect fudges I've ever had.

Beth

My mom used to make me fluffer-nutter sandwiches!  Haven't had one of those since I was little.

Favorite Christmas commercial - Folgers

I was a big fan of the Monkees back in the 60's and checked them out on You Tube and the videos of them have 10's of thousands of hits.

I'm just LOVIN' this thread!  Yep!  I'm officially a Geezer.  Just today I went into Block Buster HOPING that they might have some of the OLD shows that I loved from the '70's.  Alas, when I told the young pup behind the counter what I was looking for, he just looked at me with a kind of "Duh" look and said they only had "popular" shows.  (sigh).....My, how I miss good old TV like Dragnet, Adam-12, Emergency!, Mary Tyler Moore and let's not forget the good ol' westerns like Gunsmoke, Bonanza and The Big Valley...Oh!  I've got all the BV's in one form or another and watch them A LOT!!

Another thing....remember the good old comercials like the one for Tootsie Pops?  "How many licks DOES it take to get to the middle of a Tootsie Pop?  Mister Owl says "THREE".  If you go on the Tootsie Roll site, you can see that great commercial.

TOYS!  Remeber the wonderful toys we had?  Some of my all time favorites were:  Suzy Homemaker oven, Crissy Doll and Jillions of Jewels (one of the spinoffs of the Thing Makers.)  Wish I still had some of those great toys.
