Why Do Good People Do This?

I learned today from a friend that another friend is trying to re-home their 4 month male dapple smoothie dachshund.  The GOOD thing is that this person, who really is just too busy and away from hom too much to have a dog, REALIZED this before there was neglect involved......STILL.........

WHY DO PEOPLE THINK IT WOULD BE CUTE TO HAVE A LITTLE DOG FOR THE KIDS AND THEN GO OUT AND GET A DOG ONLY TO DISCOVER THEY AREN'T SUITED AS DOG PARENTS SOON AFTERTHE DOG HAS ARRIVED?

Soooooo, here's the pitch if anyone if looking for a sweet little baby boy and who can make sure he has a REAL forever home.  He is located here in the SLO area.  His never person is just wanting him placed in a good home so he will GIVE him away.  I have not seen this baby but today I went to our monthly Dachsie Meetup and passed out a card with info on it to about 4 people.  Hopefully this little fella will find a loving home soon.  IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN HIM, please message me or email me privately. 

"Why don't you take him," you might ask?  well, I don't think Maddie would appreciate a puppy pulling on her tail and ears.....AS MUCH AS I'D LIKE TO TRY IT.  Also, Mark really does not want a 2nd dachsie at this time and I've gotta respect that.  Those are a couple of my reasons.  Sending rays that this little guy will find the best home ever.  Maybe one of the folks at the Meet up will call and claim him and then I'll be able to meet him at our next meeting.

The little guy has found a new home!  I called the guy on Monday (day after Dachsie Meetup) and he told me he had FIVE calls about "Rudy"  He was going to be interviewing that week.  Found out Thursday that the little sweetpea has found a FOREVER home!  I don't know who in my group got him, as I don't know everyone in the group yet, but it was one of the group members.  I got the news from another friend of mine who was wondering if the li'l guy was still available because someone at her work was interested.  She called and found out that dachsie had been adopted and was told it was to one of the people I had reccommended.  So..........I hope to see our little dapple guy at our next Dachsie meetup at the first of the month, in January.
