Sargey Claims Doxie Rights to Blankie

I'm off this week on using some vacation time up that I need to use or lose.....so I decided to make some blankies .....don't know what I'll do with them all but I need to keep myself busy! So, as I am working on one of the blankets, Sargey claims "doxie rights" or maybe that's "squatter's rights" to the blankie I was working on! As you will see in the picture, he not only claimed the blanket but also proceeded to take his stuffed toy fish with him and used it as a pillow! Sargey now has a new blankie.........to add to his collection!

The green by his ear is his fish.

What a precious and lucky little boy he is. IAnd he has a Mom who can SEW! Great blankie!! 'm glad you are taking a little time off Dee, I hope you and Dave and Sarge are doing better overall. I know it has to be very rough on all of you still.

Hi Dee, how are you guys doing? I know how the holiday season can be especially hard after losing a treasured loved one like Looie. I think of you guys often. I remember after losing Domingo, I didn't even want to deal with Thanksgiving and Christmas AT ALL. But thats not what our departed ones would have wanted, would they? Lots of hugs going out to you guys and Sargey!

Those kind of blankets are soo cute and only made more cute by that handsome boy laying on it! Dee are you putting stuffing in them? it looks so plush!

Um...Sargey are you sure you didn't steal my blankie??!! :crazyeyes: I gots me one jus' like it. How weird is dat, our mama's picked out da same fabwic and eberyfing. Hang on tight to your blankie...my mama packed up my blankie for da move and now its missing. Boy do I need it today. I gots odder blankies, but I NEED dat one. We are doing fine here. I am finding that I really need to keep myself busy, though. My moments of missing Looie hit me when I am least expecting it to. I am finding that random acts of kindness to folks in memory of Looie are helping a lot. He was such a giver of love through his own ways. I was hoping that we would have a quiet and low key Thanksgiving but no such luck. On Monday, I found out that everyone was coming to our house for dinner.......thanks to my kids......so now I am doing a dinner for 15 people! Christmas......haven't even started to think about that yet! Dee

I'm gonna share with my mom that you like pink or purple. A Princess must have a blankie in her favorite color! You can come to my house and snuggle with me. I like to share blankies and toys and treats! We're having 15 hoomans at our house for Thanksgiving......and Mom thought we'd have a nice quiet holiday.......Right!!! Sargey

Well...I guess it will be nice to have people over but I hope it isn't too much for your mom and dad. Maybe you will get lots of belly rubs! That is such a precious picture and he looks so warm and cozy. Isn't it funny how they love to claim things as their own. Schatzi often claims whatever blanket we are using as "hers". We just have to share or give it up!
Meghan and I were going to my mom's church tonight for a Thanksgiving dinner/service and saw a dog get hit by a car. Our guess is that the owner may have had him at Petco and when they were putting him in the car he took off. He looked like a larger dog that was stil in it's adolescent months. Just took off running into 6 lanes of traffic. Made it through the first three, but not the second. Meg was crying over the dog who was so defenseless. I found myself in tears or the family who would be so lost without him. The driver had stopped, but I'm pretty sure the dog didn't survive. Luckily Petco has a vet and they were right there. We couldn't stop since we were already ahead of them when it happened and traffic really backing up. I knew the dog was no longer in pain, but the family's pain would last a long while.
I still think of Kendall-angel often, especially when Schatzi does things that remind me of her. Also, as Schatzi gets a little older, she reminds me of her more and more. She was my first doxie and introduced me to this wonderful breed. I'll always treasure that.

Oh Sargey....you look soooo comfy in dat blankie!!! Zoe and Winston have a blankie like dat but....it is made out of kitty kat print (yuck phooie)...hahaha. But they still love it!! Too bad you can't have a calm and peaceful Thanksgiving but I am sure after all the preparation is through, that you will love spending the time with your family and friends!!! Continued prayers to Dee and Dave and Sargey, as the Holidays can be a very emotional time. Looie Angel is looking down and taking care of you all.....God Bless and please have a Happy Thanksgiving.

Dear Sargey,

My blankie is still missing. We fink it got left behind in da basement of our townhouse.

I knew I should hab kept dragging it around wif me. But, I couldn't get it up dose stairs. My mama pwomised to make a new one, but she hasn't found da same fabwic yet.

She tried to make me a blankie wif a space dog fabwic and yellow fabwic, but its just not da same. I do like it, but I only use it if all my other blankies are busy or dirty.
