Baby Love has had her surgery. Thanks for all the rays and well wiches. Unfortunately it appears that her blindness will be permanent. See  pics and updates here.

Owned by 3 dachshunds and 2 American pit bull terriers. They are all so alike in so many ways!!

I am so sorry to hear that Baby Love's blindness is permanent.  I was so hoping for a wonderful outcome....although you never know...miracles do happen.  It is just so wonderful that Baby Love has a wonderful mommie to take care of her.  God Bless, Cheryl. :heart:

That is so heartbreaking!  I really was hoping that she would get her sight back.

While it is true she will not regain her eyesight, the surgery does allow a shunt to drain fluid from her brain, so that her brain will decompress (or as my friend says, "her brain will fluff back up") and hopefully her seizures and some of her other difficulties will be a thing of the past.
Owned by 3 dachshunds and 2 American pit bull terriers. They are all so alike in so many ways!!

That is great news!   I will keep sending rays for her quick recovery from surgery.    :pray:
