Wots and wots of wienerdogs.....ho hum....can we go home now?

Yesterday I had to go 2 pwaces.  The first pwace was da vet!  Mommy said that my itchies were not getting any bettah so I had to have a SHOT!  And now I'm on DWUGS too!  Dose dwugs make me feel  :idiot: 

Affer the vet, we went to a big park in Atascadero where there were a kazillion weenerdogs!  Mommy thought that this would be a good thing.  I don't get it.  In other words, I was not impwessed, but wemained weegal while woofers woo'd my wump.  Well, I woo'd one wump but it was only cuz it was in my face.     I actually was vewwy nice to everyone and even let some of the hoomans pet me.  I sure was tired when I got home and pwoceeded to take a looooooong nap.

Yesterday was the annual weinerdog races.  No, Maddie doesn't race and the race track is really quite tiny.  It's all for fun.  There were about 150 weiners there and some were in costume.  We had Marvin the Martian weiner and a space man weiner (very elaborate) and 2 weiners who, one was playing the convict and the other was the cop.  Those were just a few.  It was so fun to meet and greet with dogger and hoomans.  I even got to hold a puppy.....aaahhhhh puppy breath.  Mark was hoping I wasn't getting any ideas, if ya know what I mean. 

Also ran into a lady who is wanting to start a Dachshund Club here in SLO.....kind of like a Meetup.  We are going to gather for our first gathering next Sunday at a nearby dog park. 

We got home just in time, as the skies opened and we got a much needed all day rain shower.

Sounds like it was a lot of fun.  We have quite the doxie community up here, but no gatherings, except for a few parades when the doxies come out of the woodwork to walk in the parades.

  Hugs and kisses to Maddewoo....hope you are feeling better....wow....a kazillion wieners....that is fantastic...would love to have seen them.  Great news about the Dachshund Club....sounds really cool

Poor Madewoo!  You still got dose ictchies?!   Gosh dose drugs are no fun, my mama has to take da hooman version sometimes and she sez dey make her grouchy and act weird.  I hope I neber hab to take dat stuff.   Dose races are  a weird fing. My mama took me to one and I didn't like it. Too many nosy pups for me.   Da running part looked fun dough.   We were inbited to race in one, but mama said no fanks.   Maybe next year.
