Mimi and Tuttle just wanted to know how you and your momma are doing? Have things calmed down? I hope you are staying warm there. We hear it is really cold. Our momma did something mean to us that we hope doesn't happen to you. She picked us up out of our nice cozy warm spots in the big bed this morning and put us outside!! It was only 38 degrees! :cussing:    Where did that come from?  :dontknow: We thought it was still summer with the way the tempetures have been here. We could barely do our business!! But she did make up for it by putting our blankets in the dryer to wrap us in when we got back inside!! That makes it all better. Maybe tonight we can get daddy to build a fire for us. Do you have a fire place? We love sitting in front of it especially when they make us go out in the snow!!

Oh and Porkey, you just let your friend Tuttle here know if you need any help. I will be there lickety split!! :headbang:

Take care

Schatzi and Molly are hoping to find out about fireplaces soon. Randy and I are house-hunting and a fireplace is on the list of requirements. That and a yard, preferably with a fence already up, but if not we will put one up. They are also going to learn about doggie-doors. That should be fun with Molly. Meg asked me if they made one wide enough for her. Also, this is the dog that if she sees anything in her way, she will bark instead of walk around it. Could be interesting training that one! We have made an offer on one house and are waiting to hear back. I'm feeling encouraged, but afraid to get my hopes up too soon.
It isn't quite 38 degrees here in the mornings, but at least it is below 70 in the mornings now. I think tomorrow morning is supposed to be around 52. Great Fall weather!

I am wondering how Porky and his mom are doing, too.  I hope things are calming down for them.
It was +19F at our house this morning, and they are forecasting snow in some areas after midnight.
Teresa, let us know what happens with the offer on the house.  A fireplace, or woodstove, is a wonderful thing to have.  Our woodstove has a glass door, so you can see the flames, I just love that.  A fire in the woodstove is such a comfort to me, its like having a real good friend in the room, I wouldn't have a house without one.  Willy and Alex love to lay in front of it, warming their bellies.

Awww.  That was so nice of you to think of us.   Porky and I took a mental sanity day today.  We started it with a nice long bath, (to warm up...it was cold out this morning!)  then we sat on the couch and cuddled up under a blanket and read a book.  Things have calmed down a little bit.  My husband and I are going to go on a "mini" roadtrip tomorrow morning to go visit some friends and spend time together.   Porky will be staying at home or going over to see his friend Lacy.  Lacy is a rat terrier that is very fat and pretty lazy.  She and Porky are good friends and are always licking each other's faces and snuggling together.     It is too cute.   My husband and I aren't going far, just venturing into Wyoming for during the morning and will be home by 2 or 3 pm tomorrow afternoon. :apls:

My husband's job interview went very well.   :xfinger:  So, we'll see if he gets the job now. He is also applying for a really good job doing construction, which is what he enjoys most.  The only bad thing about the construction job is he will be gone  a lot and most often it will be for two weeks at a time.  The longest we've been apart since we were married was 1 month. And that was only because I was helping take care of my grandfather who had a stroke and was in the nursing home.  He seemed to be recovering faster while i was there, because he would talk more and really work hard in his physical therap sessions.   Anyway....back to my point, Porky and I may go along with him on some of his two week jobs.    :apls:  Also, it would be a great time to have my sister or my friend stay over for movie night!

I am still feeling pretty icky. I'm supposed to go to the doctor on Monday if I'm still feeling this bad.   I woke up this morning with no voice, but luckily it was back an hour later.   I feel so much more relaxed after my day off from the world!  It really helped.

HA HA!!  Momma fergot to let me gib you my answer!   No...we don't hab a firepwace.   When we wived at da lake, we had a wood stove, dat was sure nice, but momma was always on me to move my butt farder away.   Also...momma is asacred of matches and lighters, so...she neber wiked to start da fire.     She bwames her mom for dat. Man...gwandma put da fear in her for dat when she was wittle.   :2funny:

Fanks for da offer for help Tuttle.  I pweciate it!!   :comfort:  I fink we'll be okay for now.  Da mean wady has been weaving us alone lately.  I am mad dat momma and daddy are going by demselves tomorrow.  But, if I get to be wif my hu-unka Blake and Lacy dat will be fun too, Not as fun as a car ride dough.   :doah:

I am so glad you two had a nice relaxing day that ended on a high note!! You guys deserve it. And there is nothing better than visiting friends for a nice pick me up as well. Not to mention you two had some great bonding time!! That is what is on the agenda at my house for the weekend. I already have the fire place ready to go, just have to have my boyfriend light it!! And it is all about snuggling and spending time with the dogs. Well there are some chores to do on Saturday morning to winterize the house, but that is it. Then it is all about the dogs. Already have some leaves down to put in a pile and watch them go nuts playing!! I hope you guys have a great weekend!! Go Huskers!!

A fireplace is definitely very nice to have for the puppers to warm themselves in front of.  Two of my dogs love to lay in front of it (and I keep making them back their butts away from it too..must be a thing that mommas do).  Zoe actually sits and stares at it sometimes.  It is funny to watch.  Porky Pie:  We are glad you and your momma and daddy are doing better and things have calmed down for you a bit.... :hello2:  We hope your daddy gets the bestest job and you have fun playing with Lacy.

Teresa, good luck to you and hubby on the house.  We hope you get it.... :xfinger:  Molly and Schatzi would love the fireplace and the big fenced yard.   :thumb:
