Beautiful, beautiful fall day out today.  Washed the Mustang yesterday, filled her with gas, suspended the insurance for the winter, etc.  Today I waxed her.  Oh man, does she look great.  Gotta cover her and put her into hibernation.  Took Willy and Alex out for a walk on the new road.  Willy took a big dump right in the middle of the road, will have to go pick it up later, don't want the Borough to see THAT during their inspection!  This Thursday, Dan and I will be going to the Public Hearing on our subdivision.  Wish us luck, we're almost done with all this red tape, oh my GAWD!!!  Not sure when the road inspection is, but it should be soon, at least I hope so.  Thank God I don't have to go through this again.

Good job boy - christining the new road !!!  Glad it will soon all be over for you Patty !

Thanks Barb!!!  Hey, guess what, my sisters and I are thinking about having another Sisters Week, in Texas.  Thats because three of us live in Alaska, and we want to go to Texas where our Sister Barb knows where all the good outlet malls are and stuff like that.  My sister Mary and her family are somewhere between Oregon and Texas right now, and will be settling in Texas.  She may actually join us this time.  But on the other hand, I doubt it.  She didn't join us the first time because it "wasn't proper to leave her family for one week to spend time with her sister."  (give me a break!)  Yeah, us sisters would lead her astray, really corrupt her.........

LOL, we tried, Julia, we tried.......

Sisters are family too.....I don't think there's anything improper about that!

That's remarkable that Alaska lets you suspend insurance.   In Maryland, we have to have the car insured so long as it is registered, unless you can prove the car was inoperable (i.e. blown engine, in storage, etc.), and that is a real pain in the butt to do.

Maybe in Alaska they look at the model of car it is and know that a Mustang would have to be in storage during the winter, so they let you suspend it. I sure wouldn't want to have a Mustang out and about there! And, if they see someone who doesn't have the insurance suspended on one, they should do it anyway.Otherwise, the insurance company will be paying for someone's total lack of common sense (of course, they do that a lot anyway!).
Patty, maybe your sister feels you all have already corrupted her during her growing up years and doesn't want to risk more! Is this the same one that told you that Misty was "just a dog"?

All it takes is a phone call, and the suspension is effective immediately, its a neat deal.

Yep, same one.  Our next Sisters Week might end up being a cruise, which we KNOW the younger sister won't attend (due to drinks and bikinis).  The last Sisters Week was shopping and eating out, and she didn't attend that one because it "wasn't proper to leave her family for a week of fun with her sisters."  She's no angel, she had a wild time in her 20's, so its not like she's pure and the the rest of us are all messed up.  Its a long story, but we all think it has to do with the Amway group they are involved with.......women put in their place, gotta wear dresses, no jean, etc., etc...............it sounds like a cult to us.

Wow. The sister trip sounds fun!!    :apls:  Sorry to hear that your younger sister can't go as well.  That's kind of a bummer.  Oh well.  Just make sure you tell her about all the fun you guys have.
